MySpace a place for friends

Hi, everyone. I'm Josh, in case you don't know me

I'm 17, and i go to Thurston Community College. I've been in a few bands over the years, with various friends, but the reason i chose to go it alone is because i love having such a massive creative input. I like to be able to write songs which make the listener feel what i'm feeling, and i couldn't do that in a band.

So. It's just me, and a guitar, and a few other instruments. I've been playing acoustic guitar for about 9 months now, practicing for hours a day, and using every opportunity to siphen my thoughts into songs. It makes me happy. I've sung nearly all my life, generally in choirs. I was Deputy Head chorister at Bury St. Edmunds cathedral for a while, and have always been involved in singing in some way. I'm not going to pretend i'm an incredible singer, i'm not. But i get by, and hopefully over time it'll mature.

I listen to absolutely anything. I really do. My favourite artists include Frank Turner, Reuben, Ben Folds, Cooper Temple Clause, Biffy Clyro, Jeff Buckley, Colin Hay and Elton John. This means my music has lots of different sounds to it. And i really, really don't think i could live without music.

Now. I like to gig. I really do. And i really enjoy people getting in touch telling me they want to see me live. So, if you have a party or something along those lines, or a gig, ask me.
