Joshua Banks is a mysterious artist. Having started his playing career in the hills of Devon more than 20 years ago, it wasn't too long before he regretably made the decision to follow the "career" route and found a job that would provide a comfy life.
This life was rocked when diagnosed with an undisclosed terminal illness in 2007. Banks' goal now, is to release 20 years worth of music, in ... well, however long he has left.
To make up for leaving music so early in his career he has enroled the help of various family members to bring forth his vision of stripped-down pop folk, and has vowed to complete a major project. It will be a ten-album concept named "Joshua Banks presents: Super. Army. Soldier." The first is poised for release on Fleeing From Pigeons Records.
Some might say a ten-album vision is blind stupidity for a man in his last years, but his family vow to carry out his last wishes and continue playing under the banner of Joshua Banks. But one thing is for sure: His determination will be his legacy.
