My name is Joshua Hedlund. I've been playing piano since I was 8. I love composing original songs as well as piano arrangements of some of my favorite pieces. For the last three years I have also been composing accompaniment soundtracks for the drama productions at Christian High School.
Recording is mastered by Garrett Kempf in GarageBand '08 with my Macbook. "So Cold I Could See My Breath" was recorded on the grand piano in the chapel of Harvester Christian Church in St. Charles, Missouri. A KORG Triton keyboard was used for both "To Whom It May Concern," "Yellow Spider In A Glass," and "Collin The Seaman," which also included an Ibanez acoustic. "October" was recorded with my KORG in my parent's basement.
"Collin" was my first attempt at multi-track stuff, and "October" was my first attempt at piano-based layered ambient stuff (not very good haha)
I'm also a hardcore fan of all things musical, especially a lot of what comes out of Tooth & Nail. I occasionally review albums for AbsolutePunk.net under the moniker thepianominstre.
thanks...your songs are awesome...Haven't listened to the new Showbread yet. I got the Anorexia leak, but I want to wait and buy it. That'll be later tonight. Heard they were amazing, so I seriously can't wait.
