About me:
I am a propitious alloy of technology and humanism whom, as a philosopher, believes rationality has set humanity on a collision course with perfection, and as a technologist, believes design and technology will save the world.
I am self-employed as a web developer and consultant, providing guidance, strategy, and implementation for small businesses and organizations that are serious about creating effective web sites. I consult on new media, search engine marketing, social media marketing, and information architecture.
Entrepreneurial ends are my aspiration, and I spend much of my "spare time" working on any one of several ambitious projects. I focus my projects on what I feel are under serviced areas with sticky design problems, such as development of a new communication medium whose form enforces its function, which is to computationally generate rational discourse through synthesis of contributions by lay men and experts alike.
I'm also a student at Santa Rosa Junior College where I am working towards several job related certifications in addition to a degree in philosophy. I hope to someday assume the role of public intellectual.
"The question isn't who is going to let me; it’s who is going to stop me." - Ayn Rand
"A man's mind is like a garden, which may be intelligently cultivated or allowed to run wild." - James Allen
"If you have two choices, choose the harder. If you're trying to decide whether to go out running or sit home and watch TV, go running. Probably the reason this trick works so well is that when you have two choices and one is harder, the only reason you're even considering the other is laziness. You know in the back of your mind what's the right thing to do, and this trick merely forces you to acknowledge it." - Paul Graham
"Self-image sets the boundaries of individual accomplishment." - Maxwell Maltz
"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a harder battle." - Plato
"You know you've achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but when you have nothing more to take away." - Antoine de Saint-Exupery
"We were supremely lucky to be born into this precise moment in history. It is with an ever-cresting crescendo of wonder and enthusiasm that I commend you to the great adventure and the great adventure to you." - Jeff Davis
Who I'd like to meet:
Show me an individual with ambition and integrity, and I will love them until the end of time. My love is not a scarce resource.
