..Upbeat, soulful and mesmerizing are three words that perfectly describe pop violinist Josh Vietti. He has played the violin since he was four years old and in 2006 decided to make a career out of his passion for music. Vietti started out his career as a street performer on the 3rd St. Promenade in Santa Monica, CA and has since sold over 15,000 copies of his demo CDs. Also, he was discovered by multi-platinum producers Brian Kennedy (Rihanna, Chris Brown, Jennifer Hudson) and Kashif (Whitney Houston & Kenny G). Both incorporated Josh into their live performances as well as recording projects in the studio. In 2007 Josh contributed violin to pop/r&b singer Chris Brown's unreleased track 'Flying Solo' produced by Brian Kennedy. Josh also recorded violin on Kashif's 2010 recording of 'I'm Gonna Be Somebody' and was also a guest instructor at Kashif's 2010 Music & Recording Camp for foster kids in Inglewood, CA. Vietti has also performed live twice with the Los Angeles Ballet Academy at Pac Sol Performing Arts Center at Cal State Northridge and also performed at the 2009 L.A. Screenings Week at Warner Bros. Studios. Josh was also featured in the 2010 NBA ALL-Star Game Commercial narrated by famous rapper/actor Common. In the commercial Josh played the role of a violin street performer in the subway in downtown L.A. Most recently Vietti had the privilege of performing with Brian Kennedy (Brian Kennedy Project) at his show at the Roxy in Hollywood, CA on November 2nd, 2010. Josh shared the stage with Brian Kennedy as well as artists Wakil, Natasha Bedingfield, Nikki Flores and Kristinia Debarge. Josh just finished recording his debut studio album entitled Street Violin. It is an urban blend of hip hop/jazz violin and will make you want to dance, bob your head and leave you wanting more! It is produced by t.bailey of The Beat Traffickers and also features artists C-MO, Terrell Carter and Chief Wakil. Also, there are cameos from vocalists Larry Walker, Sharon Youngblood and Kelli Strader. Vietti's new album has great beats, instrumentals, production and is well balanced with soulful vocals and rap lyrics. So whether you're in your car, home or out with friends, get ready to enjoy the amazing hip hop violin experience known as Street Violin!
