Josiah Erickson is an Americana performing songwriter from Nashville, Tennessee. His consistent evolution and maturing of his melodies can be heard from one song to the next. A fervent desire to find new ideas and write with them makes Josiah’s music profound and engaging. The commitment to careful craftsmanship and striving for individuality with each song is what makes him a standout artist. His music is a magnificent blend of folk, jazz, blues, sadness, sorrow, passion and praise.
Along with continuing to write new music, Josiah has put the finishing touches on his debut EP which is due out in March of 2009. The biggest task at hand will be to learn how to survive as an independent artist in the music industry of today.

Josiah, I hope you & your friend had safe travels back to Nashville. I really enjoyed being able to see and hear you live & I'll definitely be telling others about you. I am looking to book 2 artists or groups for a private gig in April. I already have an idea on who I'd like as an opener which leaves me with 1 other artist or group to secure for our gig. I'm not ready to make a firm commitment yet but I'll tell you that you are now on my shortlist to open our private gig. I will make my final decision by the 1st week in January. If I do decide to book you to open our private gig, I certainly would pay you and provide you a nice hotel room as it's about a 6 hr drive from N-ville to Spartanburg. You are actually at the top of my short list for now so I wanted to let you know I was considering you for this event. If would be on Friday April 30, 2010.
If I decide on you as the opener, I will make arrangement to meet in January to secure your spot at our gig by signing a contract and paying you in full on the spot so you (or whoever I book) will know that I am serious and that I can be able to depend on the entertainment being available for the gig.
I want to take the next few weeks to check out a few others but I really liked you. And I LOVED Pierce. Man, he's awesome! I may actually make my mind up before the end of this year but I still would want to meet w/whomever I sign for our priv
