Bonjour a tous,
I was born in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec on a cold January morning .My dad was probably singing that morning as he did every day as far as I can remember. He was an M.C at night you see, and a brick layer during the day, wich gave me the wonderful idea of building a singing career, brick by brick...I remember putting on shows for my little friends in the backyard dressed up in my mother's old dress with a hairbrush for microphone and shoes I could barely stand in pretending to be Barbra Streisand(yes I know..those where big shoes to fill) singing Evergreen in my very own English style. I had big dreams a passion for music and a taste for adventure and freedom.I packed my show and my hairbrush and moved around for quite some years from Toronto to Vancouver to California and East coast of the U.S, Mexico and the Virgins Islands where I did a lot of fabulous sailing and met a lot a great musicians with who I performed along the way on my journey.
So here I am back in MONTREAL after years of absence ( I came back in spring of 2004) reconecting with my roots and culture. I just love to perform and share music with friends and audiences, it is my food for the soul. As for The Jazz Gents, well, there as been a few in the front line in the last few years. We all know that it is sometimes difficult to keep the same band for the gigs and sessions, so the formations vary from time to time wich keeps the music fresh and challenging, so to all my musician male friends out there...you are all my Gents!!!
I'm here to meet, collaborate and network with musicians, singers, agents, producers, film makers and anyone who may have something interesting to share with me.(all originals are under copyrights protection Newhouse music production 2007)
Enjoy my page.
Love and light***
