I'm a Breakbeat producer and DJ based in North West London recording under the name of Journeyman. Am also one half of "Code Red" and "Det Selectaz" and also collaborate with talented producer Adrian Barr (Barrcode).
Started Djing back in 1990 and partied through the "hardcore u know da score" days, my interest in production came about around the mid 90s and it was in 98 when I finally took the plunge and invested in my own studio. From 2004-2007 I was involved with the running of Born Idle Records with DJ and Producer James Bass (J-Bass). The label was set up with the aim of releasing material covering the whole spectrum of breakbeat from Tear Out Basslines to Techy Plodstep!!.... Why?... Coz we LOVE our breaks and don't care if its hard, soft, happy, dark, techy, sexy, funky or even with a hint of Bavarian Folk!!
Releases such as "Time 2 Unite" and "Rock That Shit" have been received well by the critics earning excellent ratings and reviews in both DJ magazine and specialist breakbeat publication Mofo Magazine. More recently "Orgazmatron" received an impressive 5 star rating in International DJ Magazine, "Whip it Out" 4.5 and "Wikkid Babylon" 4 in Dj Mag UK.
