About me:
i was a singer/songwriter/guitarist for 35 years. 4 years ago, in a series of unfortunate events, i suddenly became a paraplegic (in a wheelchair 'til the end of time) with extreme muscle spasms in my arms, iretractable pain in my tail bone, plus damaged vocal chords and on oxygen (what a mess!). now, i am not physically able to sing, play the guitar or even play my djembes or other african drums. But i can write lyrics, and now, that's what i do. I write lyrics and find musicians and singers or artists ask me for lyrics to join their instrumentals or any combination of collaboration. afew of my songs, recorded on an old boombox built-in mic, and/or one of my many collaborations will be highlighted here on my myspace music page! check it out, contact me, add me!
Who I'd like to meet:
...anyone willing to do something, anything, to help save Darfur! and some of my heroes...ghandi, Bodhisattva Maitreya (laughing buddha), john lennon, peter gabriel (don't give up), mia farrow (work in helping to save darfur), mother theresa, the dalai lama (save tibet).

Joyce,
How are you doing my dear friend?
I appologise it has been so long - this year has been a tough one!
Now I know I read some lovely comments you left on my videos but I cannot remember if I got around to thanking you for them so I am gonna say a MASSIVE THANK YOU because what you wrote was really wonderful!
As for what I have been upto... lol... well...
Things have only really just got back to normal from having a major water leak in our home which kept us living in alternative accommodation right through peak holiday season with the kids in tow... lol... what a nightmare that was!
Right now we are just enjoying settling back in to a completely redecorated home, I have completed all the other major work that the insurance did not cover (like my brand new studio room... lol!).
I have just started work on a brand new song (my first one this year so as you can imagine I am very excited!).
I enjoyed reading your comment & I have to say a massive congrats on releasing your CD - THAT IS AWESOME NEWS!
I hope the weather eases up for you... more snow... goodness... will you get a white Christmas this year you think?
Anyways Joyce, it is lovely to catch-up - take care my friend!
Hugs & Kisses

I did manage to finish my new video though for the full version of "Mysteries Forever Today" - I hope you get chance to see it Joycie! ;)
I will look forward to hearing them covers you mentioned when I return there.
My best to you & the family sweetheart.

Hi Joyce. Thanks for what you said about 'Shadows', it was very kind of you. I wrote that one after reading about a teenage girl who was killed in a park for being a goth here in the UK.

I hope you're doing well. I am fine, thanks, I've just been working a lot and whathaveyou. The album should still be out next month. I shall send you a copy as soon as I can.

Take care,
Si

Hi Joyce,
Sorry for the late reply. I was away for a few days in Omeath and I'm a little under the weather too (conjunctivitis) but I hope you had a nice easter and are enjoying the start of Spring!
As for jonesing for new music, well.. just between you and me, I am working on a new batch of songs (mostly at the writing stage) which I'm hoping to have finished soon. I'm keeping them close to my chest until they are all ready as I want to promote the current CD for as long as possible without distracting people with new material! :)
Talk to you soon, take care! Fra

You're right - the Balcony TV thing wasn't amazing for the vocals - it was really cold!! It was mainly to give an idea of what we're working on - we'll be getting some more videos done soon hopefully. Glad you're enjoying the new clips, I hope all is well!
Best wishes,

Hi JD, yeah I'm sure you've heard it before. It's an old song from "International Drama". Slightly edited for MySpace, but it's barely noticeable.
I hope you are keeping well! *hug*

Hey Joyce,

How are you? Things here are going well, busy as always. Writing some new stuff and we just need to get some vocals down before the album is finished.

So what have you been getting up to? You know, if you ever fancied getting music put to your lyrics I'd be happy to collaborate.

I was 3 years sober yesterday. Feels great to live.

It doesn't suck! I think it gives something to the music! I really enjoyed it and am going to put it in the car for when I go on long journeys to gigs (best time to listen to music attentively).
Thanks again,

Dear Joyce,

you are amazing! I think it's fantastic what you're doing with the pets given as Christmas presents, how awful it must be to be given away for a short while, then unwanted, the human race never ceases to amaze me that our species can be so stupid! But thankfully there are groups like yours who can step in and make a lost soul's life worth living again. I'm ever grateful to rescue folk and their tremendous and unlimited capacity for caring and putting things right.

I often think of you and I love it when you call in here on or soundclick, I meant to tell you for some time 'Rollin' wasn't written for a dog or for any animal but when you mentioned that I could really see the connection! So maybe it was an unconscious will seeping through, it's one of those songs that makes you feel like getting on with things doesn't it, even I feel like doing housework when I hear it hahaha, now that's magic :)

Wishing you a good year filled with things that make you happy :)

Thank you for being such a kind and thoughtful friend to us, you are appreciated more than I can say.

Love from Maria & Paul xxxxxxxx
