Chris McCullough - The Joyful Noise Drummer's Interests
General
Music, Drumming, History, Aero and Astronautics (Yeah I'm a geek... get over it!) and actually much much more. Too much to list on here in fact!
On a personal level, I love to spend time with my family!
Music
Considering that I've been a drummer since the ripe age of SIX, I tend to like most all music ranging from Christian, to Big Band, Jazz, Rock, Pop, Classical, and New Age. To be completely honest, it is extremely important to listen to many styles of music to be a versatile musical drummer!
Television
LOST!
Books
I finally read 1776 by David McCullough! I would recommend it to anyone! Right now I'm completing my masters degree... so it's back to the school books for a while. I do still make time to read my Bible like I should, various drum books, and of course... Modern Drummer Magazine!
Chris McCullough - The Joyful Noise Drummer's Blurbs
About me: Thank you for visiting my myspace page, home of the Joyful Noise Drummer! I began playing drums nearly 30 years ago, and learned through a series of private lessons beginning with my teacher Dan Keene, and progressing through the public school system from elementary school, junior high, and finally finding myself as Drum Captain at my high school in Hammond, LA.
After school, I have continued to play in numerous groups as well as during my military career. Now however I find myself in a position to spread my love of drumming to aspiring drummers on the beginner to intermediate level.
I am an endorsed educator for Vic Firth Drumsticks and a member of their Education Team as well as a member of the Professional Drum Teachers Guild. Visit Vic Firth at www.vicfirth.com and The Guild at www.professionaldrumteachersguild.com
If you live nearby and are interested in drum lessons, please don't hesitate to contact me! I'm also available for school or youth speaking engagements for a number of subjects using drums as an outreach! Plus, I'm always available for performance or session work. Need a nice supporting drum part for that gospel song you like? Get in touch!
In the mean time, you can come and take part in my friend, Dan Britt's Official Online Drum Forum where I am the moderator! You can find the forum at: www.thedrumcity.com
and you may also feel free to visit the other cool drummers and bands on my friends list!

Thanks man! My middle school band director used to rip on me for using 7a's when I was younger, so that was for him. He used to tell me I might as well play with chopsticks, so I did. Glad you enjoyed it man! Keep rocking!
whew idk about bring my kit man! it's brand new and I'm barely used to those beasts haha I wanna try to make it tho for sure!
oh and the snare in that pic is a maple OCP snare I bought for $100 then fitted it with the best heads and snares it sounds goood
and I actually just bought a black on black maple DW snare not too long ago that sounds incredible. I have it tuned up kinda high like a marching snare, it's sick!!!
