KAI DAVIDSON - THE KING OF ROCK IN FULL FLIGHT
Sadly missed by all who knew him

THE JOYRIDERS = 2 EP's released - both were NME singles of the week - 100% success rate. Nice one.

Played live shows supporting the likes of Mega City 4, Lemonheads, Nirvana, Mudhoney, Bleach, Swervedriver, Doughboys, All, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Leatherface, Die Cheerleader, Mercury Rev, 11th Dream Day, Captain America, Kinky Machine and a ton of other folk.

Then snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, the band split up - well they would have if they could have been bothered.

They just stopped showing up.

sooooo.

Free Spirit Studios thinks we're still a band.

They should fuck off and find something better to do with their time than send stoopid messages to bands that don't exist.

Top night fellas!

Well our reunion is done & it were quite a larf especially in Liverpool.
Think we were finally hitting our stride by the time we got there...in retrospect perhaps 7 hours practice in 15 years wasn't quite enough before the first show!

Looking forward to your bash & perhaps sampling some of your fine Scottish booze.

It's gotta be 'Blackwind, Fire & Steel' by Manowar surely.

By the way did you ever sort out that old strings dilemma...mine are 15 years old, is it time to replace them or as I suspect is there another coupla years left in 'em yet?

Actually I do remember you guys doing a blinding 'Word Up' when Murdo broke a string that night in Perth.
Murd0ch

Jul 3 2006 11:49 AM

We had a practice last week. It was pure dead brilliant, as they say in Glasgow.
Any good ideas for a cover version to play as our official last-ever song?

May 31 2006 10:12 AM

"Ache" never came out on cd, but Dunsy's a hell of a man for producing authentic lookin' cd facsimile's of old records. Get him to do it for ya. Hassle him about it at the gig in Sept.

No Cateran page. Too much bad blood under the bridge for us to agree on that sort of thing.

Murdo.

Re the Cateran.....did 'Ache' ever come out on CD cos my vinyl version is unplayable with wear(also, don't have a record player anymore) and am desperate to listen to it again?
