I usually play solo, however there are a couple of people that helped out with the recordings:
John Dykstra Sr. wrote and played the baselines on all the tracks as well as providing the backing vocals
Mili coso played the cajon on some of the tracks
Influences
My biggest influence and my muse is my beautiful wife. My family have been influencing and supporting me since I was a zygote. My friends are always there for me and of course my head roady Captain Vancouver.
Piano lessons, guitar lessons and a fine arts school gave him the tools to ask his questions and express his joy and angst through music.
As a teacher for 7 years JP realized that people communicate in limitless ways, as a traveler he found that there is at least one common way people can communicate and that is through music.
JP was brought up in Montreal, Canada. Moved to Vancouver and taught middle school for 5 years. Everywhere he goes his guitar is with him. He has performed in Winnipeg, Vancouver, Vienna and Nice some people journal, some blog, JP likes to write songs and share them with people.

I thought i'd let you know about "The Green Light Tour."
I have 3 friends that are doing an east coast tour as of this moment.. Todd Sapio from the band "Language Room", Jen Woodhouse and Leslie Sanazaro..called "The Green Light Tour." The theme of the tour is Global Emissions Awareness and they are making it up to Montreal and will play with me!!
THEY ARE PLANTING 1 TREE FOR EVERY TOWN THEY PLAY IN. This will help fill the Giant carbon footprint we all leave behind!!!
My reason for writing you is that i am helping to collect donations. We are at $862. so far.
