Jr. Corduroy was a Boston based indie band from 1999 to 2003. It's members included Mark Kraus, Andy Santospago, Janine Papp (now Janine Annett), Ben Hedlund, Ricky Brennan and Mike Paulo as well as various musicians who joined up along the way. They made two full length records, 'Slow-Fi' (2000) which was produced by Dave Auchenbach and 'I Don't Want to Be Around When You're Gone For Good' (2002) which was co-produced by Bruce MacFarlane and Eric Masunaga.
Although their commercial success was limited, their records were recognized by critics and fans as secret gems in an over saturated market. They received acclaim from The Village Voice, Maxim Magazine, Basement Life, 3WK, Splendid E-Zine, as well as receiving the honor of one of the top 10 records of 2003 from The Boston Globe.
After parting ways in 2003, Mark moved to New York and started Tsui, who released their debut record in 2007. Andy joined The Vinyl Skyway and released a solo record called Tiny Problems. Ben has played in every band on the east coast twice, and Janine is currently taking photos of her cats and writing for the gothamist magazine.
In early 2008, they will release 'Studies For a Film', a collection of unreleased material as a limited edition disc as well as for download.
