Tervetuloa myspace sivuilleni. Suurin intohimoni viimeiset 10 vuotta on ollut tehdä omaa musiikkia. Etsiä oma kieli ja ääni, ja rakentaa niiden avulla kuvia ajasta ja paikasta. Tällä hetkellä grime musiikki tuntuu parhaalta välineeltä jäljittää maailmani.

LIIKAA EP
Puhkaistun kurkun ääni.
Viimeisen vuoden aikana J Riskit on työstänyt soolojulkaisuaan, joka onkin kasvattanut artistin siihen todelliseen
identiteettiin, mikä kantautuu nyt kynästä sähköksi, ajatuksesta levyksi. Ep:ksi nimeltä "Liikaa".
Musiikissa J Riskit liikkuu vahvasti Lontoosta tulevien tyylien, Grimen ja Dubstepin maailmoissa, mutta mukana on
myös tummat ambienssit, L.A:n ja Memphisin underground hiphop, IDM, sähkö, basso, ja kokonaisuudessaan voimakkaat
läpileikkaukset kaikenlaisten rajojen ulkopuolella. Edellämainitut vaikutteet toimivat vahvana työkaluna myös tämän levyn
räpeissä, mutta vain kantamassa esiin paremmin sen mitä artisti itse todella haluaa sanoa, sen sijaan että jotain olisi
vain suomennettu.
Kokonaisuutena levy kantaa hyvin intensiivistä ja välitöntä tunnelmaa kaupungista ja sen jännitteestä. Tässä maailmassa
kaupunki on elin. Liikaa - ep ei ole totuus. Se on ennen kaikkea kuvaus ajasta ja paikasta. Helsinki - tässä ja nyt.
Mielestäni on hyvin mielenkiintoista kuinka alussa näkee vain kaaoksen, mutta lopulta täydessä myrkyssä kaikella on paikkansa.
Ei ole kyse siitä miltä kaikki näyttää, vain siitä mitä kaikki on.
Oma elämys, oma tunne.
Ep:llä vierailevat myös Klommo ja Krid, helsinkiläisestä Grime-triosta nimeltä "Kylmä", sekä vanha ystävä Mungcamu.

LIIKAA EP
The cut throat voice.
For the last year J Riskit has been making his solo release, which has grown the artist to the definite identity, that now carries from a pen to electricity, from thought to a record. Into the EP called "Liikaa".
Musically J Riskit moves strongly in styles coming from London, in the worlds of Grime and Dubstep, but also you can hear dark ambiences, LA and Memphis underground hiphop, IDM, electricity, bass, and overally powerfull crossings through all kinds of barriers. The influences mentioned above also work as a powerful tool on his rapping, but only to carry the artists message across, in opposite of being something that is just translated to a finnish form.
As a whole the record carries very intensive and direct feeling of a city and its tensity. In this world the city is an organ. Liikaa -ep is not the truth. Above all it is a picture of time and place. Helsinki -here and now. I think it's very interesting how in the beginning all you can see is chaos, but in the end you can see everything falling into its place in its full poison. It's not about how everything looks like, it's about how everything is.
Ones own experience, ones own feeling.
Klommo and Krid, from the Helsinki based Grime group Kylmä are featured on the record and also a old friend Mungcamu. The record is produced by J Riskit and Krid. It comes out 1.10.2007 on vinyl, cd and mp3 formats.
