The core of the Jupiter Ray Project includes singer/songwriter Shannon Ross and Jack Pelletier as well as Chris Breitner (bass), Peter Von Althen (drums) and Michael Ball (fiddle/mando)
Our live performances aim to be honest and compelling. We often pare the music down to the bare bones, trying to create an atmosphere of shared feeling with the audience. Live music is made up of so many art-forms the instrumentation, the vocalization, the arrangement, the emotion in the moment. We try to get the best out of each moment.
And sometimes we just need to let loose and rock.
A couple of reviews... 'Grassfire' review:
"Taking his cue from Young and Harris, Pelletier, along with fellow
Jupiter Ray core member Shannon Ross, creates country-rock music
incredibly rich in feeling and lyrical quality..."
-- S. Flood - Ottawa Express
'Morrison Heights' review:
"...There's a welcome flutter of horns on The Park and the wheezy blush of organs on Occasional Snowflake. The weepy fiddle on Wrote You A Song adds a subtle touch to the sleepy duet. The disc culminates in Fight Your Way Out, the swelling rock track on a beautifully realized disc. This is for fans of Jenny Lewis or Dean & Britta -- if they were on a country retreat -- and an early contender for disc of the year..."

Great music! Thanks for your friendship, and welcome aboard the Redline ship. Looking forward to sharing the journey ahead with you. Take Care, and thanks again. Peace,
Thanks for the clatrification. Nonetheless, I had to delete yer comment for it showed me off to be a little bitter and selfish man, and failed to capture the humour .... How is planning for the NAC going
I just STARTED writing. I don't have them on myspace yet. I have four songs under videos on my facebook page. You have to add the video application if you don't have it. ;-)
Someone let me know at the last minute that you were pregnant, and then, I happen to hear that you had a baby girl. Well, congradulations! It's always nice to know a new family member has been added to the Pelletier family. And what is this beatiful baby girl's name? And did you know your cousin Myrianne had her's too? A boy, named Thomas. Keep in touch. Happy for the news!
