JSB is a 21-year-old Hip Hop Artist hailed from East London he has been in love with music since he was twelve but only started to make it into a career in 2002. He says that his love for music was always there, but he never saw it as something he wanted to take serious. Then at the beginning of 2002 he started to go to his friend’s house and they used to get 2 tape recorders 1 to play instrumentals and the other to record them they used to do this once in a while and freestyle.
Soon after that he started to write lyrics and wrote recorded and also produced his first solo song Let Me Be Free which he was really proud of at the time, he went on to write more and more as time went by and at the beginning of 2004 started to record his first mixtape entitled “Born To Rise Mixtape Vol .1”. He also picked up a love for sound engineering from watching his friend doing it and from seeing engineers in professional studios he went to.
In 2005 JSB build his own home studio so he could work on his own material and also engineer his friend’s songs to gain more experience, during the course of this he was also attended college studying Sound engineering/Music production. he got better and better at his craft and also finished his first mixtape in 2005 He used his mixtape to promote himself via the internet, over time he started to get contacts and done a interview on his mixtape and himself at a site named Write On Point.com which interviewed artist from the Uk and the U.S. In 2006 JSB Appeared on a compilation cd titled “Voice from the Streets Vol.1” released by a Leicester based record label by the name of “Deep Impact records” he also went to Leicester and performed at the release of the cd.
JSB released his 4th mixtape entitled “Truth Of The Town Vol.2” Hosted by DJ Dammit of Plusmatics Music Group/Shadyville DJ’s in 2008, After learning and growing a lot in between the making of his mixtapes he feels like he has really grown as an Artist/Sound Engineer and feels he bring something new to the table in the UK urban scene that no other artist has. By calling himself “Mr. Consistent” to him gives him the pressure and the passion to work harder to furfill the name by making great music.
In 2009 i have mostly performed abroad in Africa, Liberia to be exact, my first show out there was on December 20 2008 for the “Liberia Unites Against Aids Concert”. I was on that show aswel as other big african artists such as 2face, tony tetula and aki & paw paw nigerian nollywood actors, at that time my song was number 2 on the national radio chart and later went to number 1 after i had returned to London. Most recent in July 2009 they called me back to do a tour of the country as my song hit number 1 on the national chart without a video, the first liberian artist to do so, i was out there for 5 weeks and did shows at various venues and beaches across the capital (Monrovia). I also while out there launched my promo cd titled “Mr Consistant Promo Cd” it is doing well and is loved by them, i am currently recording the part 2 entitled “No Place Like Home” which i want to release there before this year ends to keep the fire burning while im over here.
JSB Recently finished the next installment to the truth of the town mixtape series vol.3, which should be out for free on my myspace,youtube,facebook and twitter and various other sites by the end of the year. It has songs like “Mr Baker”, “Fresher Than” and “Yes We Can Ft. Fedarro” that have got good feedback from my myspace fans and people around me, this mixtape i feel shows my lyrical ability and also my ability to be versatile as i have all types of concepts on there that suit different audiences. JSB has also recorded 3 songs so far for his album which has no title yet, but hopefully he wants to release it by the end of 2010 or ealry 2011, he will hopefully be releasing a single by mid next year just to see if where im going with the album is the right direction. Apart from his solo projects he is also working with other artists in the UK and abroad on material that should hopfully be released.
Young Future Entertainment is a movement/label that JSB put together in 2007 but have really been working hard to grow this year, those that have joined the movement over the past 1 year are Akin, Chris, Debo and Lynk who is also a uk hiphop artist like myself. Together we are trying to push forward good music and gain respect in todays uk industry, We are currently working on solo projects but also are recording the movements debut mixtape that should be out sometime next year. We believe we have the drive and talent to rise to the top of the industry and stand on our own too feet, we are all passionate about the entertainment field and we all have the same hunger to suceed and believe that its only a matter of time; im sure it is before others start to see what we have been working so hard towards. Hello how are you? I just wanted to let you know that I have just finished producing a yoga, meditation & relaxation album titled “Surrender of The Mind”
Surrender of The Mind is written for those of us who need to get away. Maybe we have had a tough day at work. Maybe we have studied hard. Maybe we need to reflect on certain events in our lives. Maybe we just need a moment to clear our minds and re-set our mental strength. No matter what the reason is, there comes a time when we all need to surrender our minds.
This album takes you on a musical journey like no other. Capturing the ancient sounds of panpipes, tabla, bells, sitar and many other ambient resonances for those who wish to achieve a higher state of consciousness, greater focus and self-awareness through yoga & meditation, or simply to accomplish a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind.
