Lincoln, Nebraska native Scott Stewart has been a little-known cartoonist for 40 years. His work has appeared in local magazines and newspapers and in several small press comic books. He’s drawn dozens of posters and t-shirts, and for several years co-created the summer reading programs for children at the public library. He taught a class on comics for 10 years as part of the Bright Lights Summer Enrichment Program, and has spoken on comic art at the Nebraska Book Festival and many other venues. His work has appeared in anthologies produced by Kansas City’s Comic Creators Network and the Comic Artists Guild.
He’s also widely ignored as a singer-songwriter, which keeps him humble. (A sample song should be playing on this page right now.) He has a slightly higher profile as a reference librarian for Lincoln City Libraries, and as a longtime fan of Lincoln Southeast athletics. At his advanced age he still collects comic books, as well as original comic art.
