Yellowstone, philosophy (especially classical metaphysics - Plato and Leibniz are my favorite philosophers), cycling, history
Music
U2, Midnight Oil have always been my favorites. These days, I appreciate punk more and more.
Movies
I'm almost ashamed to admit my favorite movie is Star Wars, but I'm not really a Star Wars type of person. I have eclectic tastes in movies, too. Actually, I'm fucking sick of Star Wars. So, let's go with Rushmore.
Television
The next step is to break the television now that I've stopped watching it.
Books
I read mostly history these days, and before that mostly philosophy. Right now, I'm reading books about Native Americans, the West, and of course, Yellowstone.

About me:
I'm an anti-authoritarian activist and organizer who has focused (but not restricted himself) for several years on anti-war issues, obsessed with Yellowstone, with an academic and teaching background in philosophy.
I used to be in the DC Anti-War Network until September 2006 when they wouldn't take a firm stand against bigotry in the group.
Now, all I do is dream of the day I move to Yellowstone, and it just happened (or close - Bozeman, MT). I write about it all the time, too, as you can see. I just became a father of a beautiful boy - River Demetrius Macdonald.
I also work a lot on the Yellowstone Newspaper. If that interests you, there are feeds, and you can have any or all of these widgets so you can keep track as I keep track. Check them out.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone interested in organizing against oppression, against injustice, and wants to make things happen. I worked with some great activists in DC; contact me if you are interested.
I'm also looking for good national contacts; I've worked with anti-authoritarians and other activists around the country. More than ever, those of our stripe need to figure out our huge comms issues because we are getting destroyed not only by capitalism but by the authoritarian left.
The battles started early this morning. Why can't they just love one another right now, like that hippie song talks about? Sometimes, felines are all too much like humans for comfort...
I'll write you soon, dear friend. So much has been going on that I haven't had a spare moment. Tomorrow I'll finally have some breathing room, methinks.
That is beautiful...your so lucky! I am doing well, we recently started a potomac river/bioregion Earth First! and are working on mountaintop removal and the ICC aka "lexus lanes" and hopefully some other projects. Hope to see you at some point soon!
U.S. Secretary of the Interior Columbus Delano, speaking in 1873: "I would not seriously regret the total disappearance of the buffalo from our western plains, in its effect upon the Indians. I would regard it rather as a means of hastening their sense of dependence upon the products of the soil and their own labors."
