Justin began playing piano at the age of 5. From then on he has constantly immersed himself in music. After spending a year at the University of Michigan School of Music for Trumpet Performance, Justin decided that classical trumpet just wasn't his thing. Since that time he has honed his skills as a piano songwriter and singer. In May 2005, Justin began writing songs in collaboration with longtime friend Jon Berger. With Justin churning out the music and Jon spinning lyrics, the two quickly set their sights on introducing their music to the public. Drawing heavily from classic rock and blues, Justin's music has drawn comparisons to Elton John. Venues played in 2005 include:
Brighton - Espresso Royale Caffe, La Bella Vita, Java Roasters.
Ann Arbor - UofM Union, UofM League, Pierpont Commons.
Ypsilanti - TCs Speakeasy.
Ferndale - New Way Bar.
In 2006, Justin plans to focus on his songwriting, record more, and begin the long road to making a living off his music.
