jswatts = josh watts = 31 yr old singer/songwriter/guitarist originally from flagstaff AZ, went to college in tucson AZ, now based out of an old house in an old barrio of phoenix AZ. influences and favorites include the Old 97's, Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Whiskeytown, Bright Eyes, etc. mostly in the vein of country/rock/pop type stuff.
past accolades include a 2000 TAMMIE (tucson area music awards - tucson weekly) for "best amateur band" for the acoustic rock band I was in at the time: Tricky Luz. also rec'd individual recognition as a runner up in the 2000 TAMMIE category for "best acoustic guitar".
discography includes 2 cd's recorded with Tricky Luz, and 2 demo discs as a solo singer/songwriter.

Yeah, that finish is awesome! Definitely don't change it! I just got Connor a Squier for Christmas. I haven't played it (I'm a lefty), but it seems like a pretty good beginner guitar. Hopefully he won't thrash it before he learns how to play it! ha. Anyway, I like your vintage gear blogs...it's awesome that you know how to restore that stuff!
