About J.Tex & the Volunteers

J.Tex aka Jens E. Sørensen born in Detroit but raised in Denmark, maybe that’s why this little roots miracle sounds like it was conceived in the seediest honky tonk flophouse way down south. I had the good fortune to witness the band at their record release party, and I left their gig in high spirits. Seldom have I heard such a tasty stew of traditional Country, Bluegrass, Folk and Rootsrock. Although J.Tex isn..t as rowdy as Hank 3, his voice sorta reminds me a bit of Williams.. grandson..s southern snarl. From: LowCut Magazine. ”Jens”
