Jandemir (J-Tigga) Kurubas was born on May 4th, 1988 in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. As a child he grew up listening to all different types of music. His Peruvian side helped show him the different latin styles of salsa, merengue, bachata, etc. and reggaeton. His Turkish side showed him the middle eastern feel of music. By 6th grade he began listening to hiphop/rap. And at the age of 12 he began to write his own songs. By the age of 15 he ran into another aspiring artist by the name of D..'Andre (Nomadic) Brooks who heard J-Tigga rapping and wanted to work with him. D..'Andre had his own record label, which started in Long Beach, California, named FoFi Entertainment. They began to work together for a number of years until they met Jeromy (Syinnica) Peterson. This young talent helped FoFi Entertainment enter new grounds. In under one year FoFi Entertainment opened up their own recording studio, began work on a compilation album (which will soon be released), and expanded this record label into something to look out for. During the course of the year, additions to the team were made. These additions included Brittany (Brittany Monet) Brinson, Tameka (Miss Parker) Parker, Fa..'Darryl (Da Blaze) Brown, and Eric (Coloque) Young. Together they have worked as hard or even harder than anyone in the industry to help this indie record label grow into something big. J-Tigga is now attending Columbia College Chicago majoring in Audio Arts and Acoustics with a recording concentration. He is learning to become a studio engineer and a producer as well to go along with his unique flow.
Also keep on the lookout for the OneFLO Compilation album due out sometime early December. What a wonderful Christmas present that would make. ;-)
