About me:

Juan Gaspar began to study the violin at the age of seven under Natalia Gudkov, a beautiful girl in New York City. He studied with her for four years, but upon listening to Andres Segovia, he fell in love with the classical guitar. Once back in his native Puebla, he entered the local Conservatory to study classical guitar and after two years, transfered to the Estudio de Arte Guitarristico where he studied directly under legendary maestro Manuel Lopez Ramos for seven years until graduating in 1979. He has since performed extensively all over Mexico and in a few American cities. He has won several international competitions includong Mexico's most prestigious Paracho Festival Competition in 1978. He is a member of the Seminario de Cultura Mexicana (membership by invitation only)and has been a member of the Evaluation and Planning Committees of the State of Puebla Department of Culture. His music is published in Italy by VP Music Media and in the U.S. by Clear Note Publications. His two latest CD's "Festones" and "Secretos" are collections of his musical opus. ..Juan Gaspar's Profile
