En 1991 comienza el caminar de Juan Carlos dentro de la música. Es en ese año que toma por primera vez una guitarra y se lanza... a cantar su primera misa. Fueron años de ir perfeccionando el uso del instrumento, hasta que en 1995 comienza a cantar en varios clubes y bares de San Salvador. La Nueva Trova Cubana, el Canto Nuevo Latinoamericano, la influencia de Luis Eduardo Aute, Rosana Arbelo, Pedro Guerra y otros españoles comienzan a dar frutos en sus presentaciones. Claro, no podían faltar exponentes de la música latina como Alux Nahual o Fito Páez, pero algo faltaba...
Sus escenarios eran los bares de jueves a sábado y los domingos, el templo. Retiros, misas, un coro, todo hallaba su lugar en armonía con "el mundo". De eso se trató todo este tiempo: de vivir en el mundo sin ser de él.
Una "crisis existencial" (como muchas) le llevan a descubrir su llamado, su vocación. Es así como el año 2002 marca una diferencia: decide dedicar su talento a la música para Dios. En ese año se gesta "Cree en Él", su primera producción. Canciones que recogen vivencias personales y muy particulares, todas compuestas en los años anteriores. Las tendencias arriba mencionadas, la experiencia ganada en tantas y tantas presentaciones de bar y por supuesto, la entrega a Dios le dan un sonido distinto. Acompañado de grandes músicos logra concluir este trabajo en apenas dos meses. Nuevas influencias como Luis Enrique Ascoy, Daniel Poli, Martín Valverde, Migueli, y amigos de la Red Caritas Christi encuentran su lugar como parte de la inspiración.
Pertenece al Sistema Integral de la Nueva Evangelización (SINE) de la Parroquia La Resurrección, en San Salvador, El Salvador, desde 1991. Su línea de acción musical es dentro de la Evangelización y también en la Liturgia, dirigiendo por 10 años el Coro Parroquial y durante 8 años el Coro Interparroquial para las fiestas en Catedral Metropolitana. El tipo de música es como una balada pop, aunque él gusta llamarla "trova sacra", por sus influencias de la Trova.
En este 2008 se está grabando la segunda producción, "En un Trozo de Pan", una misa completa y acústica que se espera ayude a renovar un poco el Sacramento de la Eucaristía.

In 1991 begins Juan Carlos' walk within music. It is in that year that takes a guitar for the first time and is sent… to sing his first mass. In this year he developed "Cree en El (Believe in Him)", his the first production. Songs that gather personal and very particular experiences, all composed in the previous years. The tendencies above-mentioned, the experience gained in so many presentations of bars and, by all means, the delivery to God, give it a different sound. Accompanied by great musicians it manages to hardly conclude this work in two months. New influences like Luis Enrique Ascoy, Daniel Poli, Martin Valverde, Migueli, and friends of the Network Caritas Christi find their place as part of the inspiration.
He belongs to the Integral System of New Evangelization (SINE) of the Resurrection Parish, in San Salvador, El Salvador, since 1991. Its musical attachment line is within the Evangelization and also in the Liturgy, directing by 10 years the Parochial Choir and during 8 years the Interparroquial Choir for the celebrations in Metropolitan Cathedral. The type of music is like a pop ballad, although he pleases to call it “sacred trova”, by his influences of the Trova.
In this 2008 he's recording his second production, "In a Piece of Bread", a complete set of accoustic songs for the Mass, that is expected to help renovate a bit the Sacrament of Eucharist.
