   About Juan Cerecero
I LIKE TO LIVE MY LIFE THE WAY IT COMES TO ME... TO ENJOY THE THINGS THAT GOD GIVES US FOR FREE. A VERY HONEST PERSON, AND VERY ROMANTIC. MUSIC IS A BIG PART OF ME, IT GIVES ME THE BEST AND THE MOST WONDERFUL THINGS I..VE NEVER IMAGINE I COULD LIVE. PLAYING GUITAR TAKES ME TO ANOTHER WORLD, IT..S THE VEHICLE THAT DRIVES ME FROM HELL TO HEAVEN WITH MY SOUL INSIDE! I..VE BEEN PLAYING GUITAR SINCE I WAS A YOUNG BOY. I STARTED AT THE AGE OF 19... NEVER STOPPED SINCE THEN. A LOT BEFORE THAT, I USED TO BE AN AMATEUR WRITER, AND PAINTER BEFORE I EVEN COULD HOLD A GUITAR IN MY HANDS. I STILL OWN LOTS OF POEMS, STORIES, DRAWINGS AND PAINTINGS THAT I MADE A LONG LONG TIME AGO... I TOOK CLASSES OF FINE ARTS SINCE A KID. WHILE IN THE LAST YEAR OF HIGH SCHOOL I BEGAN TO TAKE DRUMS LESSONS WITH RENE CASTELLANOS, AND BECAME THE DRUMMER OF THE HIGH SCHOOL BAND. AND AFTER MY MOM NEVER LET ME BUY A DRUM SET, MY FATHER GAVE ME MY FIRST GUITAR AND BEGAN TO PLAY IT WHEN I GOT INTO THE UNIVERSITY... WHILE THAT WAS HAPPENING I USED TO GO TO THE LOCAL CONCERTS THAT WHERE AT THAT TIME IN ACAPULCO, IN ONE OF THOSE CRAZY CONCERTS I SAW A VERY SPECIAL GUITAR PLAYER THAT WAS MY INSPIRATION TO TOTALLY SWITCH MYSELF TO BECOME A GUITARIST, THAT PERSON WAS SILVANO CETINA, A GREAT GUITAR PLAYER, AND HE JUST TURNED MY HEAD OFF. I NEVER TOOK SERIOUS GUITAR LESSONS UNTIL I MET HIM; BUT HE WASN..T MY FIRST MASTER, BECAUSE AT THAT TIME I WAS VERY SHY AND NEVER TRY TO TALK TO HIM. MY FIRST GUITAR TEACHER WAS MARXO GUTIERREZ A GREAT GUITAR PLAYER FROM MEXICO CITY. I USED TO EVEN VISIT HIM EVERY WEEK, OR EVERY TIME I COULD AT THE BIG CITY TO TAKE MY LESSONS. THE TIME PASSED BY AND I FINALLY MET SILVANO YEARS AFTER, WHEN HE FINALLY GUIDED MY SOUL INTO THE GUITAR WORLD AS SO HANS MUES ANOTHER GUITAR GURU FOR ME... AND IN THE LATE 70..S A GREAT GUITAR PLAYER, WHO PLAYED BY THAT TIME WITH FUSION BANDS, LATER WITH STEPPENWOLF AND MUCH LATER WITH DEEP PURPLE TOO, BECAME ONE OF MY BIGGEST FRIEND AND MUSICAL INFLUENCE, ANTHONY FLYNN... WE MET JAMMIN TOGETHER ACCIDENTALLY ON THE STAGE OF A CONCERT AT A BASEBALL STADIUM IN ACAPULCO (IN MID 2006), WE FINALLY MADE A BLUES BAND TOGETHER JUST FOR FUN AND PLAYED OCASSIONALLY ON TV SHOWS AND MADE SOME IMPORTANT GIGS... I MISS BLUESING WITH TONY; PLAYING WITH HIM IS LIKE FLOATING IN A CLOUD, BELIEVE ME! I MISS THE "BLUESCASTERS"!!!! ALTHOUGH WITH LOTS OF FRIENDS THAT SOMEHOW GUIDED, AND HAD A BIG INFLUENCE TO ME ON SHOWING ME A DIFFERENT WAY TO APRECIATE MUSIC (GUSTAVO GARCIA, TONY LOZA, ENRIQUE MEDINA, ALEX LANDA, ALAN ALVAREZ, EL POLLO, ARTURO ADAME "MONSTER", LUIS TORREBLANCA, AND A BIG ETC... I NEVER END MY LEARNING, I NEVER CLOSE MY MIND). THANX TO ALL!!!!! AFTER PLAYING GUITAR IN ORIGINAL MUSIC BANDS (CRISALYDA, ARCANHELL, ACERTIJO, RADIO KOKO) OF DIFFERENT GENRES, RECORDING MY OWN INSTRUMENTAL STUFF, PRODUCING LOCAL ARTISTS (LAURI, ETC...) AND BANDS (THE MOST RECOGNIZABLE IS "DARK FOREST" AND "HAPPY ORPHANS"), AND PLAYING IN COVER BANDS TOO (RADIO LATEX, LA DIABLA SONICA, AGREGADOS, STROGENO, BLUESCASTERS, FRONTERA), I..M NOW TAKING A BIG BREATH OF MY LIFE IN CABO SAN LUCAS WHICH IS A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE. PLAYING WITH A LOCAL COVER BAND IN HARD ROCK CAFE (WEL...NOT ANYMORE, HEHE NOW WE..RE THE HOUSE BAND OF AN IRISH PUB CALLED ST LUCKY ACE! YEAH!!!) AND CABO WABO, THE BEST PLACES TO ROCK IN TOWN!!! WAHOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now we..ve started playing for weekends at Mango deck in the Medano beach!

Egnater Rebel-30 30W Tube Guitar Amp Head (REBEL30HEAD)

I found a new true love. Egnater Rebel 30. Two power tube sections. 2 6V6, 2 EL 84's. You can use either one or blend both in any amount with the blend knob. 2 channel. Independant reverb for each.  There is an output knob for each channel too. You can go from 1watt to 30 watt.s. Even with a lot of gain you can still hear the wood grain on your neck.

Hey, we were talking about trying to get my band down there. We want to play a show with you. I know it wouldn't cover our expenses but if I can manage to get all of us there would you want to share a bill? A reunion of the Californias.

If we were able to use your amps and drums it might be possible. We could just bring our instruments. How does that sound to you?

Do you have any ideas about where we could play together in CSL and if anyone might be interested in promoting a norcal/baja cal show? I think it would be a good time for everyone.

Maldito construcion es terminado? Gloria dios! The detours were a pain in the ass. And we only had to deal with them a couple weeks. it needed to be done. I'm looking forward to seeing the results.

We had an LA session drummer sit in last night. He knew our songs better than we did. Ha ha. He was awesome. His intro to American Band was so powerful i got distracted and missed my cue. ha ha. We made some decent money playing our area's nicest club last night. It's time to ask for a raise. We make them a lot of money. But you know how it is, people want a good live band but they don't always want to pay for it. We noticed they increased the cover charge but we didn't see a bigger paycheck.  Los hombres de negocios. Son nada mas que ladrones.

Im glad she got to see my other favorite California band. D 'addario should sponsor you. You could tell cruzeros XL's are the secret to your sound. They'd buy some :) We're trying some new songs this week. Dirty Deeds, Happy by the Stones, Summertime, no Chickenfoot though. I'll leave all the Satriani to you bro. I'm going to Puerto Vallarta for New Years. I suggested CSL but la mujer says we "always" go there. Really? What's wrong with that? But happy wife happy life. We will see you in the spring tho amigo.

Que tal guitar slinger? Are you going to convince Arturo to sing Trevi's Todos me Miran? If he don't wanna, I'll settle for an acoustic version of Ahora Que Estuviste Lejos. :) Epic shout along audience for us last weekend. They knew all the words to I Wanna be Sedated and Rock and Roll All Night. We were in a cellar club with no stage. We played right on the floor. Dancers crashing into us, knocking over the mics. I dint think Sheryl Crow would have liked it but I did. It was punk! My keys player is going to CSL in November. Le dije muchas veces sobre la mejor banda en baja. Expect to see her and her husband.

Hola hermano. Gracias por los buenos tiempos! Todo el mundo en Lucky Ace me trataba como a su primo favorito. Dile a tus amigos no me Bret Michaels! ja ja.

It was a blast meeting your beautiful friends. (Christine! Send me those pics!) Chris can sure party hard. You would have to shoot him with a traquilizer gun to knock him down.

Debbie and I had a great time. That was the most amazing version of Black Magic I ever heard. Carlos who?

We're back in Norcal now. I arrived home with 22 pesos and 3 dollars.  Not bad.  :)

I'll use your guitar pick at our next show. Maybe some of the mojo will rub off. I knew you would be a Chickenfoot fan. I love that sound. Have you heard The Answer? They are from the UK. I have their album Every Day Demons.  I think you would like them.

If you are ever at one of our gigs, I want you onstage the whole night. Ha ha. Even tho I know the band will want you to replace me.

Nos vemos

Bret
