Chicago
here's a poem I wrote awhile back:
Blue Twilight
It's twilight
The world looks a deep blue
She stumbles along the sidewalk
Glancing about for followers
People uninvited in her world
She needs no one
Or at least that's what she thinks
When in fact
Everyone seems more important than her
A tear runs down her cheek
For no reason except
The deep dark sadness of the blue
Invading the night as in her dreams
As she wanders with no destination
Worry lines marking her face
No where to go or anyone to see
At least for now
Silence echoes on inside her head
Pausing to sit and ponder
Underneath a weeping willow
No one notices her as usual
She drifts away in slumber
Snuggled in her lost thoughts
Of tomorrow, and another
Deep dark sad blue twilight
..
Austin
Who I'd like to meet:
Bam, Downey, Trent, Zooey
Mt. Baker, WA state
Your Birthdate: April 4
You have an extraordinary character - moral, responsible, and disciplined.
Your sincerely and honesty shine through in almost every situation.
Driven and focused, you rarely let your emotions get the better of you.
You're level headed and rational. People count on your to look at things objectively.
You are a natural leader - with confidence and strength that inspires others.
Driven to succeed, you are always looking for ways to gain, power, knowledge, and expertise.
Sometimes you aren't the most considerate person, especially to those who are a bit slow.
You are not easily intimidated - and you have a commanding, awe-inspiring presence.
In love, you hold high standards... for yourself, for your relationship, and for your significant other.
While it's easy for you to impress others, it's hard for you to find someone who impresses you.
At work, you are organized and good at delegating. You understand how to achieve goals.
You would make a great CEO, entrepreneur, or consultant.
How you see yourself: Rational, calm, and objective
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Inflexible, controlling, and overbearing
We are getting geared up for the 6th St Smokeout, and it's now less than 2 weeks away!
We'll have plenty of pizza, from the Mellow Mushroom, to take care of your munchies, and we'll also have a psychedellic multimedia light show for your viewing pleasure!!
Also, if you have just a couple minutes to spare, go by Do512 and vote "I Like" on the event page there; it'll keep the Smokeout near the top of the list of events for that day, and the "Higher" we are on the list the better!!!! The Do512 event page is here: http://do512.com/event/2009/10/17/texas-normls-4th-annual-6th-street-smokeout
Thats cool. I checked out your mountain, it was kinda of weak though...its only 1,628 meters(more like an ant mound really). The city of Quito was higher then this. You need step up your game and hike something colossal. Just kidding. Thats the goal(to see the sunrise) of hiking to the summit of Cotopaxi. You start at like 12am and get to the summit at 6am. Its a 5 to 6hr hike, in which you need ice picks and shoes with spikes to hike the glacier. I don't think I could do it yet because of altitude sickness. Thanks for the birthday wishes. Cheers
Hey whats up, I started the hike up Cotopaxi at about (approx) 4,500 meters high. To give you scale, the height of Mt Rainier in Washington is 4,400 meters (14,000 feet). So when we started hiking, we where already at a higher altitude then Mt Rainier. We ended hiking up to about 4,800 or 4,900 meters. Cotopaxi is approx 6,000 meters tall. It was amazing and awesome! I havent finish with Ecuador part dos pics, so thats why there are no captions and the photos are not organized. Im almost done though.
Im not really into Secret Machines. I think I even forgot to put em on the list of bands I saw last year too. Btw, you can't compare a classic act like Skinny Puppy to a contempary act like Secret Machines in my book. Now if you would have said, hey Richard Butthole Surfers just add a show date for Halloween, that would have been different. Cheeers
Thank you Emily!! Its been an easygoing birthday... I favor those, to be honest. We're off to the beach tomorrow--YAY!!! Take care, and thanks again 4 my brithday comment....
hey, i just checked out that link and it looks fun! i might go too...i'm living in austin now ~ off 71 and south first. we should meet up if we're both there, haven't seen you in ages!
