Hellion was formed in the Summer of 2007 by Dan Bates formally of Crazy Train and Brian Garrison of Splintered Throne after doing a show together in Salem. Brian's band Splintered Throne was doing a cover set of Priest tunes while opening up for Crazy Train. They later struck up a conversation about possibly taking the Priest set to a whole new level with a new Tribute project. With Doug Parks and Brian Bailey both coming aboard from Brian's previous project Splintered Throne, the project had a good head start on being tight and working well together. Bob Scott, joined as the lighting/effects/stage manager, helping to make each show one of the most visual mind blowing events anywhere! As the set list grew, it was apparent that we needed to round out the sound and find our "KK". During a long and exhaustive 6 month search, Hank Clopton joined the band. Shortly after Hank joining the ranks, Rick & chuck (formally from Crazy Train fame) joined the line up on Bass & drum's, completing what is now considered the Ultimate Judas Priest experience on the West Coast, both sonically and visually.
