My name is Jamaal Jude a.k.a. "Jude Boi". I got the name Jude Boi because I am the youngest of five brothers, so when people refer to one of us when they see us out (because our names all begin with a J) they just say "you must be one of them Jude boys". My best friend started calling me Jude Boi at an early age so the name just stuck with me. I am 22 years old and I started recording songs five years ago in the beginning of the year 2004.
The way I started out is kind of interesting because one day I just got a sudden urge to write some lyrics to a local song that I was listening to. I started out with writing only 8 bars but as I listened to myself over and over I just kept on writing until I ended up with 2 pages of lyrics. A couple of days later I spit my lyrics to my friend at school ( C ME a.k.a. DEXTUR TURNER -who was already a rapper) and he liked it. So we ended up making a song CALLED "FIRST TRACK". After we recorded it, I let people hear it and they liked it so much that they didn't even believe it was me on the song. They thought it was somebody that was already famous. I went on from there making more and more songs and I don't plan stopping any time soon. I call myself the "veteran rookie" because in my first year of rapping I got a lot of respect from people in high positions with music and even a lot of radio play.
I am an artist/producer/songwriter/performer. I make my own beats, master, and mix my own songs. I am the C.E.O. of my own Independent record label known as YOU ALREADY KNOW RECORDS. I have traveled to many cities because of my passion for music. At the beginning of 2007 I was featured in my first music video of Andre Carr's "The Word's Out". This video has aired on B.E.T., The Word Network, Comcast, DirecTV, The Mix Show, and about 20 other cable networks. In May of 2007 I performed in Miami at The Bobby Jones Show. I have singles that have been aired on overseas networks, and I have performed in front of A&R representatives from Def Jam Recordings, Island Def Jam, Universal and many more. My music has earned the attention of many major and independent record labels who offered to sign record deals, but I have yet to find that perfect match. Im the kind of person who likes to determine his own destiny so I decided to start my own record label. I have my own production company called J BEAT ENTERTAINMENT. I have released two albums and two mixtapes. My first album was "The Veteran Rookie". I actually sold 2000 copies out the trunk of my car. The second album was called "The Youngest of The 5" which was released in the beginning of 2006 and I sold 8,926 copies of it myself. Im an all around business man and therefore I recently released my newest mixtape called "Mind Of A Business Man" which I already sold 18,741 copies of it and still selling. I got a new mixtape out called Mind Of A Business Man Part 2. Look for my single to be on ringtones and itunes pretty soon. Mind of a Busines Man Part 2 is in the streets.
