Influences
I couldn't tell you who I am influenced by, because that implies that I am trying to emulate someone/thing. Instead, I can tell you what I listen to, and where my taste in music comes from. I listen to a ton of music. A TON. Originally, I was into heavier, southern, gangsta rap. But I have grown out of that (thankfully). I have always had an affinity for 80s music, both electro-rap and new wave. Somehow, the 80s just seem like a better time. I was briefly very into the ska stylings of No Doubt and Sublime, although that phase was short-lived. Hip hop has always, and will always be my primary listening experience. Love the sounds of KanYe West, Lupe Fiasco, CunningLynguists, Nujabes, Strange Fruit Project, Murs, Dangermouse, The Roots, MF DOOM, The Urban Sophisticates, Doug E Fresh, Del tha Funkee Homosapien, De La Soul, A Tribe Called Quest, The Low Budget Crew, ... the list goes on like the beat in my heart. I also have been really into techno and dance music my whole life. Some acts I have loved over the years: Daft Punk, MSTRKRFT, Kraftwerk, Armand Van Helden, Eric Prydz, Aqua, Ian Van Dahl, Felix da Housecat ... similarly the list goes on. Recently, I have been really into a bit more rock and indie rock music, mostly standard stuff, Coldplay, Radiohead, Beatles etc. I also have been getting into Nu Rave and New School Electro: Hot Chip, New Young Pony Club, Kid Sister, Aaron LaCrate, DJ Tittsworth, DJ Technics, Cool Kids.... crazy influences, all over. I don't wanna go on too long about what I listen to, but its pretty much all over the board.
Sounds Like
A lot of stuff. Why should I tell you when you can just listen?
Judge Mental is the name, Music is my life. Its not as clever as the rhyme, but its more true. Part time producer (more of a hobby than anything) full time blogger and music reviewer. I run a site called Vinyl Meltdown, and if you send me music I will listen to it, and if I like it I'll put it up on the site. I have some contacts within the music industry, so it could work to your advantage to shoot me your stuff. And it works to my advantage to get to hear dope music. So shoot me your stuff, and I'll see what's good. And even if it needs work, I'll be happy to give you some criticism to help you step up your game. Those who can't do teach. Anyways, hit me up, send me your stuff.

The last MASS APPEAL was rowdy! These days, the Hotel shows are consistently packed. I'd like to think blog love from VM had something to do with it...
Working on a remix for local guys Deleted Scenes... I'll hit you up with it once it's complete.
