Silvano grew up in Philadelphia and shares a life of music with celebrated saxophonist and Cleveland native Joe Lovano, whom she met at jam sessions in 1980. Together they founded JSL Records and have released jazz CDs and DVDs and most recently 2 CD's of Music for Healing Meditation (more in the works) so far. The first "Sound Garden - Spirit Music" is a calm and peaceful collaboration with Joe on gongs and woodwinds and Judi on flutes and percussion, while the second "Sound Garden ~ Celestial Voices" features Judi's arrangements with her a-capella vocal ensemble.
NEW CD Release in SEPTEMBER with her CLEOME - LIVE TAKES CD with Improv Masters George Garzone, Michael Formanek & Gerry Hemingway on JSL Records. Look for concerts and gigs with this great band AND with Sax- Master JOE LOVANO as special guest in her bands throughout the rest of the year.
