"A human being is a part of a whole, called by us 'universe', a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty."
-Albert Einstein

"Across the Universe" (in love with it), "FIGHT CLUB!!!," "Full Metal Jacket" (Finally saw it, in HD no less, and words can't describe), "Hellboy" (1 & 2), "Ghost World" (Didn't really like it so much the first time, probably wasn't cynical and bitter enough yet, but it RULES!), "Knocked Up" (Judd Apatow and I need to talk), "Poltergeist" (My favorite horror movie ever), "Waiting for Guffman"(GENIUS), "Clueless" (gets unjustly written off as a chick flick, but is an extremely strong, impeccably cast comedy, and I will fight you till the cows come home about its merit!), "Proof" (<3333333), "Thirteen" (Evan Rachel Wood is amazing), "Mean Girls" (not as good as "Clueless," but still awesome, and I LOVE Tina Fey, "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" (Gorgeous, heartbreaking, surprisingly NOT overrated if that makes sense), "Anne of Green Gables" (Possibly the best movie version of a book, ever, another amazing cast), "Buffalo '66" (I'm probably gonna get rocks thrown at me for saying this, but I liked this movie a lot more for desperate loneliness and weird connections than "Lost in Translation"), but now I will say "Lost in Translation" because I resaw it and did a 180 on it, "Lucas" (One of the most thoughtful highschool comedies ever done, especially for the time), "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" (I know it's the weakest one, but it's my favorite!), "Back to the Future" (ONLY the first one), "Gremlins" (Yay!), "Glory," "Lean on Me," "Se7en" (Morgan Freeman = The Master), "Black Snake Moan," (LOVE!!!), "Kill Bill" (I'm all of a sudden obsessed 'cause I finally saw them, "Planet Terror" (It's GO GO. Not CRY CRY!!!!!), "Crazy/Beautiful" (I know it looks awful, but it's really not, and Jay Hernandez and Kirsten Dunst are awesome together), "Sunshine" (BRILLIANT!)

Books
Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood, The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Why Girls are Weird by Pamela Ribon, The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, everything by Beverly Cleary, who had one of the biggest impacts on my life. Right now I'm re-reading a favorite, The Gift of Fear by Gavin De Becker.
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Oh, Lord,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. .. ..

PLEASE READ MY STUFF! I'LL LUV YOU 4EVA!
Important disclaimer! I used to type my blogs in Microsoft Word, and for whatever reason, that transferred to Myspace with no apostrophes, ellipses, or a couple of other things that I can't think of right now. Anyway, the thing is that Myspace won't let you edit the year, so now if I try to edit mistakes, the blogs repost as today's date. And anal as I may be about proofreading, I am WAY too anal to have my blogs all out of order. So for now, please forgive the missing punctuation and know that I do care, and also am a really good proofreader. Hire me!
