I love many traditions of music. Some of my greatest influences are singer/songwriters including Lauryn Hill, D’Angelo, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Stevie Wonder, Donnie Hathaway, Smokey Robinson, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Antonio Carlos Jobim, George Duke, Chick Corea, and Rachelle Ferrell. I love the gospel greats such as Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the Clark Sisters, Shirley Caesar, and the Winans. Classical music has also had a very deep impact on my life. I love studying the music of J.S. Bach, Igor Stravinsky, Frederic Chopin, Maurice Ravel, Claude Debussy, Aram Khachaturian, Vaughan Williams, Aaron Copland, and Leonard Bernstein.
I'm here to make music that helps people laugh, dance, cry, and love again. Whether its on the street corner or on a stadium filled with thousands of people, I'm going hard. I grew up in a family of musicians and studied every form of music I could get my hands on. What I create is a by-product of my diverse upbringings and world music influences I've acquired through travel and experience. With a heavy rock edge and soulful melody, I welcome you into my world.
