JUDITH JONES- Lead vocals, percussion "Just let me sing" I shake things too!!
Classically trained as a kid, but gravelled it up since. Siings blues and rock and writes power ballads and country songs (don't ask) - not sure how that happened. For the technical types uses a Shure 58 beta radio mike (cos I can't stand still.)
ROD GODWIN - Guitar, vocals - ex Badfinger, and Jigsaw - Rod is Altos planatos on the guitar! Loves his Fenders, but has a guitar shop full of other gear. Also sings with The Nightriders. Rod sings some of the songs in the set and harmonies on others, plus he writes his own fab songs.
ROY JONES - Bass guitar - and songwriter, plays a Sandberg "California" 5 string bass and uses a Warwick stack.
DRUMS Chris Sweeney - new to Cumbria - Scotland's loss is our gain cos Chris is amazing.

LIVE music was never more livelier than last Friday night at Rosehill with Judith Jones and her band took to the stage.
This was a DAZZLING performance of some of the BEST TALENT you’ll find along the WEST COAST and it’s hardly surprising there was a full house for the show.
Rock and Roll met country, blues and a few other inspirations for a night of passionate music. Judith has a POWERFUL VOICE but she sang with subtlety and delicacy, saving the strongest for the highlights. Most singers with such power would have had the stops out full all evening but Judith knows how to hold back and allow the lyrics and melodies to shine through.
She was helped by the BREATHTAKING TALENT of John Marcangelo (drums and piano), Rob Godwin on guitar, Roy Jones on bass and Cathy Marcangelo helping out with backing vocals.
This was a mix of songs written by Judith and well-known classics. The highlight of the evening had to be Can’t Call Yesterday Back, Judith’s composition (with Neil Ostricge) dedicated to her mother, Gaenor Williams, whom she had met that week for the first time in 47 years, Judith having been adopted at the age of two weeks. There wasn’t a dry eye in the house – and that included Judith and her colleagues on stage. But even in this song, Judith was professional enough not to let the emotion swamp the simple yet memorable melody.
It was Aretha Franklin’s Take A Piece Of My Heart where the band seemed to all come together for a stonking performance – but there wasn’t a weak song in the repertoire. It was a terrific night of raw talent tempered with a smooth and professional performance.
Many thanks to the LEGENDARY ALBERT LEE - GUEST GUITARIST ON CD TRACKS "YOUR DINNER'S IN THE DOG" AND "MOUNTAIN"- LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING MORE WORK WITH ALBERT THIS YEAR!!!!!
JUDITH has sung with ALLMAN BROTHERS AND BOZ SCAGGS GUITARIST LES DUDEK IN SAN FRANCISCO. Rod has played with many great bands including BADFINGER AND JIGSAW, PLUS JOE BROWN. ROD HAS ALSO WORKED WITH CREAM AND STATUS QUO, and is in great demand as a session musician at TOM TYSONS MUSIC FARM.
OUR MUSIC IS BEING PLAYED ON TOP GERMAN AND SPANISH BLUES RADIO STATIONS, AND WE HAVE PLANS TO VISIT OUR AMERICAN FRIENDS IN SEPTEMBER OF THIS YEAR FOR A SERIES OF GIGS.
Cheers Jude! You have a great voice indeed and so sweet and controlled. Nice to hear blues without shouting hehe. Send my regards to Roy and I think your songs are very well written. My respect to Rod & John too for truly clean heart felt playing. See you in future, Paul X
In just 30 days I'll be cruising down I-94 to the Windy city to pick you and Roy up! I'll bring some Chicago blues for you to listen to on ride back to Kalamazoo!
