Away from the animal kingdom (equine and canine) my main interests are live music and alcohol (for socialising), chocolate (an addiction), being in the countryside (born and bred), being in the city (adopted home), photography, geophysical fluid dynamics (which I wish I understood), sleep (which sadly seems to be a thing of the past).

Quite wide range of stuff, as long as there's something in the background I'm usually happy. At the mo (and in no particular order) it's mainly Placebo, Nivana, Muse, Motley Crue, Marilyn Manson, The Killers, Queen, Razorlight, Chilli Peppers, Nickelback, Lostprophets, Ash, The Rasmus, Garbage, Radiohead, Guns 'N' Roses, Borderville, Coheed and Cambria, Cast, David Bowie, Eurythmics, Foo Fighters, Sixx AM, Prince, Journey, Snow Patrol, Alanis Morissette, Def Leppard, Metallica ......
then again I could also be listening to the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack or Chris Moyles on Radio 1 in the morning while shovelling horse shit.

The Shawshank Redemption, The Butterfly Effect, Oceans Eleven, Man on Fire, Beetle Juice, Saw(s), LOTR trilogy, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Kind Hearts and Coronets (pure genius!),
Back to the Future(s), Pirates of the Caribbean (though that could be as much to do with Johnny Depp as the film!), Shrek, Some Like It Hot, Top Gun, Gossip, Prince of Thieves, Stardust, The Lion King.
Television
Pretty much into the standard stuff; Friends, Family Guy, 8 Simple Rules - stuff that's easy to watch when I should be concentrating on other things. Top Gear and QI are probably the most entertaining on the box. Peep Show is a modern classic and Red Dwarf and Blackadder are probably insurmountable. Drama wise, it used to be Buffy and Angel now it's Heroes. I can't stand most reality TV and don't watch soaps with, er, one exception - Neighbours (it's my one soapy weakness) has been a constant since I was about six!

Books
I haven't had a lot of time for reading anything which isn't to do with atmospheric physics or fluid dynamics lately. However.......
Probably my favourite book (although it has become cliché to say) has to be "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", Douglas Adams was one of the very few comedic authors who's books I find genuinely laugh out loud funny and the Dirk Gently series although even more random are also brilliant. "The Odyssey", "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" are all excellent yarns. Best loved book growing up (read and reread many times from when I was about six or seven) was "A Tale of Time City" by Diana Wynne Jones which was totally different to most of the other books I had as a kid but truly captured my imagination. Currently reading Jeffery Deaver's "Twisted" in broken patches of spare time.

Okay, about me, my name is Judy; I moved back to Oxford after finishing my undergrad degree in Cardiff (two years ago now - Christ time goes fast), bought a horse who is now my main passion (as well as main time constraint and cash expenditure), I worked in the livery yard where he's stabled for a while and I am now living in a share house with fabulous people in fairly central Oxford and doing a D.Phil. in Atmospheric Physics. That's a brief history of the last section of my life and a clear indication that sentence structure is not one of my strengths.

Heya hun, Yeah i am sorry to be honest i just got sick of it all i was going to leave when everyone left the Weatsheaf but i wanted to make sure people were ok, so i just decided to have a slow walk home to clear my head.
Friday i was in the Weatsheaf was not out on Saturday i was in the Weatsheaf as well as a few other pubs i keep seeing Becky but i demand to see Judy lol. I will have to get a new phone so i can start phoning again and finding out where you are lol.
It is ok hon i am the same way at the moment i do not have the motivation to do work i should be doing instead of am listening to good old school rock/metal from the sixties lol. I am ok thank you a bit tired and stressed but i will survive lol.
And i must say it is uncalled for anytime i am out you are never out anymore :p
Hello sweetheart, It was good seeing you to and no need to apologies about leaving i did not stay there much longer after you left. It was an ok night to be honest i was quite bored through out the night until started talking to some nice new people then picked up a little bit. I did not know there was drama must have happened when either i had left or was at the other side of the place to everyone else, what happened this time? I am going to be out tonight for a while if you are about would be nice to see you for a real catch up.

I had that sword too! Wow, that brings back memories. I seem to remember leaving huge dents in the frame of my door from chopping away at it with that bloody sword while screaming some sort of olde-worlde battlecry!
