About Invalid Confessions (NEW SONGS COMING SOON!)
Reviews:
Band Review - Surface unsigned round 1
Judy Mooch
The second band of the night was Northampton based three-piece Invalid Confessions. One of the youngest acts we've had in this year's festival they more than held their own against much older and longer established bands to deliver an impressive performance at The Flapper. Their sound is anthemic and energetic Pop-Punk-Indie, it's a sharply contemporary direction powered by catchy melodies, tight beats and Jack’s superb vocal. On the night they received a deservedly enthusiastic crowd response and showed they've got real potential to go far in this competition and beyond.
Review, surface, round 3.
The first band of the evening was Northampton based three-piece Invalid Confessions. They kicked off the night with an atmospheric tension building introduction using a backing track and lighting requirement requests, you can see these are 3 guys that know exactly what they are doing and it’s to the bands credit how effectively it works. They are one of the youngest bands in this year's festival and despite that they still put on an impressive and mature performance kicking off the night with a bang.
Midland Finals- Surface Unsigned.
The thirteenth band of the Surface Unsigned Regional Final Showcase was Northampton based three-piece Invalid Confessions. They came out to their usual backing track intro except this time the intenseness was even more exciting because of the great atmosphere floating around the huge O2 Academy Venue. They are the youngest band left in the midlands area of surface unsigned, and they certainly don't let that get in the way of putting on a more than worthy performance. They delivered some great pop, rock anthems with catchy lyrics, tight driving drum beats and a very unique vocal style from front man Jack. This is a band that if they stick at it will see a career out of this yet.
Surface unsigned UK finals review:
A good pop sound from Northampton that resonates with indie infused feelings. But saying that feels like a cop out, what does indie really mean and is there a genre that can classify such a thing? Who knows but there’s a certain feeling in the lyrics that turns the crowd on and has them screaming for more. They have a youthful optimism that expresses itself via catchy guitar riffs. They keep the kite flying high with their buoyant sound, easy listening that testifies the innocence of sound.
