Judy's new CD, "In the Sundance" was released on BluJazz Productions in June 2009!
With her tenth album as a leader, “In the Sundance”, Judy Niemack pays tribute to the healing power of the sun and the resilience of the human spirit. Accompanied by an all-star band, she presents fresh interpretations of classic standards, French and Italian Pop songs, including “How About You”, Ivan Lins’ “Sails”, Bruno Martino’s “Estate” and a sparsely crafted duo on “Beautiful Love” with bassist Rufus Reid. Other highlights include arrangements of classics by George Gershwin, Michel Legrand, Henry Mancini, and Dubin and Warren’s rarely heard “Summer Night”, plus compositions by Richie Beirach and Jeanfrançois Prins featuring Judy's lyrics. French Pop artist Laurent Voulzy’s “Le Soleil Donne” (In the Sundance), celebrates mankind’s equality under the sun and hope for a better tomorrow.

Judy’s previous BluJazz CD, “Blue Nights” earned her accolades in Europe and the USA:
“Refined to a point of almost breathtaking equilibrium, the art of Judy impresses today more than ever, with the forces of control and ductility, becoming as a metal, more and more pure.”
Jazz Magazine, France
“…Judy Niemack represents jazz singing at it’s finest and most accomplished. Throughout her two-decade career, she has consistently bordered on flawless, yet she’s never become mannered or predictable…Her latest, a 12 track homage to the various moods and sentiments associated with the color blue is at once a sublime testament to her long-established musical prowess and an utterly refreshing exercise in interpretive brilliance.”
Jazz Times, USA
“Judy Niemack has been one of the most underrated jazz vocalists of her generation, and this brilliant effort should awaken critics who have unjustly overlooked her consistently excellent work.”
Ken Dryden, All Music Guide
“She sings like an angel, or at least like an angel who's heard Basie and Miles: she's got intonation that whole choruses would kill for, and a voice that never loses its soft sheen even at hot tempos and high volume. She's one of the few singers who actually should sing scat solos, since she thinks so much like a horn player."
Neil Tesser - Downbeat
“…hugely impressive it is too, from the breathtaking eloquence of “Blue” and expertly navigated melodic line of “Interplay” (one of two tunes for which Niemack penned lyrics), to a rollicking mid-tempo “Moanin’’…to the oceanic calm of “Blue In Green”. Best of all is a remarkably virtuosic “A Night In Tunisia”, in which melodic invention and pinpoint rhythmic accuracy combine to devastating effect.”
Peter Quinn – Jazzwise

"She puts over a tune with passion and singular phrasing. She slaloms with streamlined precision through tricky be-bop lines and changes. She twists, turns, scats, leaps and bounds with Olympian grace....displaying admirable control, balance and understatement.....Classy."
G. Kalbacher, Hot House
"To my mind, Judy Niemack is one of the best, and purest jazz singers ever. Besides a voice with the clarity of a mountain stream, accuracy of pitch and time that is a wonder to hear, perfect diction and sensitivity to lyrics, she has a disciplined improvisational gift that makes her scat-sung lines music ....."
S. Chamberlain, L.A. Jazz Scene
"Niemack scats better then nearly everyone; she's really one with the band.."
Down Beat

"DJ Monkey …soul-stirring, excitingly edgy music…just disturbing (read ‘mind-f**king’) enough to demand attention. There is a whole spice rack of auditory flavors here, served up like fractured poetry on a collection of intensely listenable Hallmark cards from Hell." Bill Margold, Cinema Seen, L.A. X..Press

Hi Judy, thank you for supporting me and my music! I wanted to let you know that my new single, "Live For Today", will be out on the 12th of October! The new album, "Fragile", is due out in November. http://www.tanjamaritsa.co.uk
Thanks so much for the Add–and your friendship. We enjoyed your music very much. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. It's a pleasure having you among our friends! We've added two blogs about Umano, plus four more new compositions, making ten on our page. We hope you and your friends visit us and enjoy our music, too. We wake up every morning and play the music of the new MySpace friends who have arrived at our site during the night. It occurred to us that these friends (you are among them) are almost universally positive, whether they be novices or legends, and without regard to their station in life or the country they occupy. Although it's not an original thought, it also occurred to us that we couldn’t hold a verbal conversation with most of these friends, but we have bridged that gap by expressing our art honestly with each other. We all have been filling the world with our music and art, in the hope that our messages of love and human understanding will have an impact on the world at large. What a gift and what an opportunity we have received from this technology!
