    The guitarist Jurgen Kerth has been performing for forty years. "The East German Blues King" is stylistically influenced by Santana, Johnny Winter, B.B. King, Hendrix, etc. His music contains swing, soul, funk, and reggae sounds -- and much more! During the Communist reign, he was voted East Germany's 1 guitarist several times. Ten years ago, he began appearing in America, where he has performed countless concerts. To the astounded and impressed Americans he explained: "If you, as a musician, are bound to one area and cannot venture into the world, you must imagine your heroes and the legendary concerts such as Woodstock and shows at the Fillmore East. You've got to bring this emotion into your world." The decade of Jurgen Kerth's popularity must point not only to his motivational concepts, but also to his supportive fans who enjoy Kerth's unique style of playing. Through his many compositions and works, and because of his constant striving to improve himself, he has become one of the most important and influential guitarists in Germany -- and America. Jurgen is accompanied by his son, Stefan, who has been his bassist since the age of sixteen, as well as drummer Alexander Batzel -- two excellent musicians! Thanks to D.J. Ginsberg for the translation Juergen Kerth ist ein Gitarrist. Seit mehr als vier Jahrzehnten steht er nun auf der Bühne und ist immer noch in der Lage, seine Zuhörer mit seiner Musik zu begeistern. Da bekommen sogar Youngster, die bei seinem musikalischen Start noch nicht existierten, feuchte Augen. Dies und seine cool bescheidene Art ließen ihn zum Mythos seiner Sparte werden. Seit seinem 16. Lebensjahr spielt er mit seinem Sohn, Stefan Kerth, zusammen, was eine ungeheure Bereicherung für die Musik von Juergen ist. Stefan ist ein exzellenter Bassgitarrist und hat auch eigene sehr erfolgreiche Songs geschrieben. Auch in den U.S.A. begeisterte Juergen viele Fans und trat im CB-Smith-Park in Fort-Lauderdale zusammen mit Leuten von Toto, Steppenwolf u.a. zugunsten krebskranker Kinder auf.
