Having been part of various bands for the past couple of years Juey thought it was about time she could see what she could do on her own. Having had fun learning lots of twiddles and twangs, 'Self Sufficient' was born.
I continue to write new stuff - if you see Juey on the line-up, please come and support me. Onwards and upwards I say, and here's what some others think....
“Sometimes the gentlest and most subtle music can be more inspiring than anything else. Juey is no exception, her magical voice drifts gently over lovingly played guitar lines that melt the ears. Check out Juey’s myspace page to really get an idea of just how wonderful this singer songwriter is. Oh and her cover of Hotel Yorba isn't half bad either!” Music News Unsigned
"Juey is an acoustic country/folk solo artist playing self-penned songs & old Timey Country favourites with her very own unique slant." The Priory – Tetbury
"Juey presents an amazing set of soft, country, folk songs sung in a very clear manner. Engaging well with our Sunday night audience, she held everyone's attention from start to finish." Tobacco Factory, Bristol

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?
A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4
Tune in and turn on. Episode 18 features the long awaited return of Ben Folke Thomas, from his hidden island lair to continue his evil plans to take over the world, an interview with, performance by, exclusive album track play, and give away, by noir-folkists 'Juniper Leaf', and many more goodly musical gifts to be bestowed upon you dear listener by the noble Lantern Players.
