Bio:
The Gyps will be embarking on their fourth Irish tour, for three solid weeks, and will be sharing the bill with the ever enchanting Resurrection Fern. With shows booked in Dublin, Athlone, Cork, Cavan, Clonmel, Wexford, Carlow and even Killyleigh up North, it shouldn't be hard to find them somewhere around your neck of the woods. Resurrection Fern will be promoting their new album 'Transcend Mortality', and the Gyps will as usual be bringing an array of solo productions and the band's debut album on the road.
Hope to see all of you there!
Formed in 2007, Jukebox Gypsy started as a three-piece from Liverpool. Having toured extensively through Britain and Ireland, they now consist of five members and have released a critically acclaimed debut album with Irish distribution and management. The Gypsy's have become a household names on the Irish folk scene playing high profile venues such as the Roisin Dudh (Galway), Whealan's (Dublin) and The Stables (Mullingar). In august they made their festival debut in Ireland at the Electric Picnic festival.
Jukebox Gypsy are known for their eclectic song writing and high-energy shows. With an international line-up (English, Dutch, German and Irish), they are able to blend English and American Folk, Country, Bluegrass and Celtic influences into a show of five-part harmonies and simple punching songs.
Radio and TV Appearances include:
Balcony TV (Dublin), BBC Radio 6 (Tom Robinson introduces..), Newstalk FM (Dublin), Smooth FM (UK), Shannonside North FM (Charlie McGhettigan Show) and Dublin South FM (On the Verge show).
Jukebox Gypsy have now released their debut-album! You can order your own copy now by clicking on the button above.
The 13 track debut album features old and new songs, with a score of musicians on guitar, bass, drums, banjo, violin and piano.
The Gyps are about to embark on another summer tour through Ireland, so be sure to get your copy at one of the gigs, if not here online.
Played 'February' on their Sunday show!
