Sounds Like
Four guys enjoying the music, the camaraderie, and the audience!
The original four members of Juke House first agreed to start a band in late 2005. Additions, subtractions, and various changes happened over the next couple of years, including somewhat losing the original mission to be a simple, honest, fun band.
An odd combination of coincidences (some might call it fate) brought the original four members back together in late 2008, with a renewed appreciation of, and commitment to, the original idea of Juke House. With more time, experience and perspective under their belts, the bandmembers are building a better form of Juke House than has yet been seen or heard.
The band has been rebuilding and revamping its set lists. Many favorites are staying, such as: Night Train, A Little Less Conversation, Voodoo Woman, Cut That Out, Funky Bitch, Evil (Is Goin' On), I Ain't Drunk, and others. New cover tunes are being added (by Watermelon Slim, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, T-Bone Walker, Albert King, and others). The band is also working on some new original tunes.
As of July 2009, Juke House is just about back to full speed, and is meeting their goal of playing live about once a month (enough to have fun, but not enough to disrupt family life). The boys particularly enjoy charity events, where they know that their hard work helps to make a difference in the world.
At our gigs, you're welcomed to dance, sing along, hang out with the band, and generally enjoy the music (and life!). We hope to see you out there!
What's up Juke House? Your hair sends forth a sheen remniscent of golden sunlight winding through shadows. How beautiful is the snowshine in your eyes, so directly current from the static in your mind. Your cleverness helps me breathe without the need of oxygen. The expanse of your beauty is a void no universe could ever fill. The elves that play in the toasters wash their drum sticks in honey and sing strikingly colored anthems in perfect harmonious pleasure. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles. You turn the atmosphere ablaze with currents of sweet ethylene when you smile. Cities crumble, skies ignite spontaneously in your presence. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. I love your eyes, I know they can stare through my thoughts. Your eyes show as many deep and full shades of fire as a volcano in heat.
