Memphis Soul and R&B
We strive to put the best sound out there that we can for every event.!!
WE GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE PLEASED.
Juke Joint is an experienced six-piece “horn” band playing Memphis Soul and R&B,
a shimmering, sultry and funky style produced in the 1960s and 1970s at Stax
and Hi Records in Memphis, Tennessee, featuring soulful vocals, dynamic horn
lines, tasteful guitar, and a driving beat by the drums and bass. We flavor ours with
some blues harp as well!
Hey David, good to hear from you. I trust all is well but would like to hear it first hand... we definitely need to get together and catch up. Maybe some Wed. night at Vinnies of something? I can't make your IKEA gig but catch your act another time for sure. Keep up the passion - Jerry
How's things Dave? Yes, been keeping freakin' busy... careful what you wish for. I hope all is well with you and yours. I'll try and make your Sat., 8/29th
gig... sure dig that Juke Joint sound! Carpe Diem, Stix

I hope so, but I'll be in drug land so I won't really know if I'm home or not. But it's good to get it done. I went to Stagecoach which is the Coachella for Country Music and when Kid Rock said throw your hands in the air I looked like a spaz cuz mine only went half way up.
Rotator cuff tear. And I wasn't even doing anything exotic like surfing or playing golf. I was cleaning out a closet and reached to far. I knew that housework was going to be the death of me.
Hey Dave Bailey! Sorry I couldn't make your Vinnies gig last Sat. I played a wedding on the coast which tied me up most of the day/night. By the time we were done and heading home, I was 'spent'.
Hope istwent well and you guys knocked 'em dead. Keep me in the loop on the next one.
Thanks for the friendship and remember when you're out on the long lonsome road. "The music business is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs. There's also a negative side. " Good Luck!!
Yeppers. We got the twentyfirst century economic depression blues. I'll put on my Juke Joint CD and open up a bottle of cheap wine, and we'll all get through this together. Poor is the new rich.
