The people depend on the project. Her band is Jeremy Chatzky on Bass, Mark Bosch on Guitar, James Mastro on Guitar and Keyboards and Frank Vilardi on Drums.
Sometimes she enjoys playing trio shows with Jeremy Chatzky on upright bass and Will Holshouser on Accordion
When she writes songs she does it with people like Robin Goldie Goldwasser, James Mastro, Mark Bosch and Jeremy Chatzky. She also wrote some theater music with Stephen Trask.
Julia Greenberg, Brooklyn-based chanteuse and song writer, and erstwhile musical theater composer, co-wrote the rock opera “People Are Wrong!” and starred in several productions with They Might Be Giants front man, John Flansburgh, as it made its way through limited runs at rock clubs (Joe’s Pub), off-off Broadway theaters (PS 122) and finally to Off-Broadway (The Vineyard Theatre). Her 1999 CD, "Past Your Eyes" on Cropduster records compelled music reviewers to say things like this: "There is nothing subtle about Greenberg's flair for making the most of a strong pop sensibility and writing brazen, heartfelt lyrics. Awash in hooks the size of texas and a lyrical wit to match." CMJ New Music Report, January, 2000.
Julia also co-wrote the music for the 2003 New York Theater Workshop Production of "The Cavedweller" with Stephen Trask.
Julia also happily occasionally sings NYC's popular Loser's Lounge, and will be working on her second CD, for the rest of her life.
Hi, Julia, thanks for the add, I'm a big fan -- I've been covering Pitiful You in my solo show (and talking you up of course). It's a great rock song and a great rock recording.
I heard you on "This American Life" and was really taken by your vocals and artistic rendition of Starlee's "song". You should post it on your site because you REALLY were amazing and I was singing it for days. Thanks for the add. Best of luck to you! :)
