I've just heard the band 'MISTYSBIGADVENTURE'. I thought I was going insane. That's gotta be the best impression of an early Cope vocal,I've ever heard. The songs seem to be pretty good also. 'The story of love', and 'Fashion Parade'. I like them but can't decide whether it's sacrilege or not. At least they admit Cope's a huge influence on them. One website says they even have Kate St John on oboe!!.

If you've not heard them, check em' out on 'Youtube' and forum your opinion. As a long term fan of Fried era Cope, I found it freaky to hear such a replica. I would also be fascinated to know Julian H thinks himself

(in case Julian really reads this...)

I just thought I should let you know that you have deeply influenced my music (sorry, it's no big deal: I'm an amateur and I only play at home, sharing everything on the net). I kinda expected that influence, since I listened a lot to "Fried" and "World shut your Mouth" (for example) in my youth days.

Today, after ~10-20 years, I listened to "Me singing" once again. Wonderful, time didn't pass, it's still perfect. Also today, while I was relistening, after a few years, to "Head Hung Low" and a lot of other songs from "World shut your mouth", it struck me: maybe I use the oboe in many of my songs because I have always liked the oboe in Julian Cope's songs. That oboe is more or less like me singing in my songs (they are all instrumental, for now).

So, I really just want to thank you for your music and everything in it: ideas, influences, memories, etc.

Thank you, Julian.

I'm pretty new to your music Julian.
I was recommended to get Jehovahkill which I now have done. Wasnt sure what to expect but I really like it.

Also been listening to a lot of Brain Donor recently. Somone did me a copy of some tracks and I instantly loved it. I've since bought Love Peace & Fuck and plan to get the others as soon as I can afford them.

Cheers,
Ollie
