About me:
I have been active in the Sheffield music scene since I got my first microphone at the age of 13 (and my mail-order guitar a year later). Important bands for me include Newspeak 1998-2003, Venetian Effect 2002-2004, Endless Nameless 2005-2006, Alternative Eden 2006 and Dead Empires 2006-? Other projects have included The Camelia Flower, Crome Yellow and Pyrrhus. Further information on all these bands and projects can be found on my web site.

My solo work began as a studio project back in 2000 with the release of "Four-track Death Wish". Since then I've released 3 more solo recordings: "Man, Myth or Monkey" (2001), "Flat Out" (2002) and "Product" (2003). 2006 saw me doing my first ever solo shows.

The "band" consists of just me at the moment as I am an unsigned solo artist with a limited budget. So on the recordings I have to play everything and use a drum machine.

If you play bass, lead guitar or drums and would like to form a backing band for me feel free to let me know. The job would involve a gig every 2 or 3 months and minimum practice.

Influences:

My music is heavily influenced by the big political rock bands of the 80's and 90's especially Midnight Oil, New Model Army, Neil Young, The Tragically Hip and Levellers. I'm also heavily into folk rock music artists like Paul Kelly, Mick Thomas, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Bragg.

Of late I've been listening to a lot of Keane, Foo Fighters, Faith No More, New Order, Audioslave and the brilliant Something For Kate.
