A native of Shreveport Louisiana, Julieann Banks returned to her “hometown” of Austin Texas in 2007. In 2009 she joined Texas’ own most popular and long standing satirical folk, country, bluegrass group The Austin Lounge Lizards as bassist and vocalist. At present, she performs solo doing her own music and playing bass and singing in her pop party power trio The Activates. ******************
Julieann’s latest release Magazine and Race was recorded at world renown FAME studio in Muscle Shoals Alabama. The same studios where legendary recordings have been made by Aretha Franklin, Little Richard, Otis Redding and many others.
