About me: I was born in Tasmania in 1971. I have worked tirelessly over the past twenty years to improve the lives of Tasmanian families in a variety of political and public sector roles including as an adviser to former Tasmanian Premier Jim Bacon.
At different stages of my career, I also worked locally in customer service and business support roles in real estate and energy environments.
In 2006 I was appointed as the State Secretary of the Tasmanian Labor Party.
I am married to Ian and mother of Georgina 13, Lachlan 6 and Xandy 5.
Like most working mothers, I have taken an active interest in my children's educational and sporting activities. I have first hand understanding of the difficulties many families face with rising interest rates, child care costs, petrol and grocery prices and balancing work and family responsibilities.
Whether it is access to affordable housing, child care, quality heath and eduction or creating jobs and protecting our precious environment for future generations, I will ensure a Rudd Labor Government delivers fresh ideas and a prosperous future for Franklin.
