About me:

Check out these great re-releases, coming in April and August 2009 from Ace! (and with fab new covers, too!)

In addition to scaling mountains without gear, piloting fighter jets without training, and saving the world on a bi-monthly basis, I also write novels for adults and teens. In another life, I was an attorney, but that interfered with the mountain scaling, fighter jet piloting, and rare egret breeding. With writing, I can take a keyboard up Everest, set up a laptop in the F-16, and jot notes while watching the egrets do their thing. It works out better, you know?

I'm the mom of a four and six year old girls, which gives me some insight into Kate Connor, the heroine of the demon-hunting soccer mom series that I write.

Anyhoo, I write women's fiction across the board ... from paranormal mommy lit (my afore-mentioned demon-hunting soccer mom series) ... to chicklit thrillers with a fashionable twist (The Givenchy Code and other books in the Play.Survive.Win series)... to quirky contemporary romances with a touch of spice (my series of superhero romances and others with a more mystery-like flair).

I live in Central Texas, am recovering from a Venti Nonfat Latte addiction, and I don't change the oil in my car nearly often enough.

You can learn even more about me and my uber-exciting life at my other blog, http://writes-and-wrongs.blogspot.com or at my newly updated, organized, and downright fabulous webpage, www.juliekenner.com

Someone messaged me that I should put up the "official" bio, so here goes: National bestselling author Julie Kenner's first book hit the stores in February of 2000, and she's been on the go ever since, with over twenty books to her credit. Her books have hit lists as varied as USA Today, Waldenbooks, Barnes & Noble, and Locus Magazine. Julie is also a two-time RITA finalist, the winner of Romantic Times' Reviewer's Choice Award for Best Contemporary Paranormal of 2001, the winner of the Reviewers International Organization's award for best romantic suspense of 2004 and best paranormal of 2005, and the winner of the National Readers' Choice Award for best mainstream book of 2005. She writes a range of stories including sexy and quirky romances, young adult novels, chick lit suspense and paranormal mommy lit. Her foray into the latter, Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom, was selected as a Booksense Summer Paperback Pick for 2005, was a Target Breakout Book, was a Barnes & Noble Number One SFF/Fantasy bestseller for seven weeks, and is in development as a feature film with Warner Brothers and 1492 Pictures. Julie lives in Central Texas with her husband, two daughters, and several cats.
