   About Julie Laughs Nomore
Spring 1995: Ljusdal, Sweden. The remains of the local heroes LOADED finds a new drummer and tries to get together again as a band. The lineup at this time is: Danne C. - vocals, Thomas - guitar, Blomman -guitar, Babbaen -bass, Ronnie B. -drums. In the beginning the band played some Motorhead inspired metal, using the name BASTARD. BASTARD put of one live show at Ljusdals Folk park, and a five-track demo before Ronnie decides to leave the band. Shortly after he is replaced by Morgan Norman (another local hero). This time things don't work out so well, and the visit in Kläppa Studio under the name DIE LAUGHING is the only "official" appearance for Morgan with the boys. He is leaving the band to do military service in August, and once again the band got no drummer.

Late September 1995: Thomas who's been traveling on through Europe is coming home and Ronnie rejoins the band again. This time the band is more purposeful and the goal is to be the best metalact ever. The music has change a bit since a half-year earlier, and now it's darker, slow and with a gloomier feeling. A demo is recorded live In Kläppa Studio and now the band finally takes the name JULIE LAUGHS NOMORE. The demo is sent to a few labels and clubs, and the response is very good, both from media, labels and audience. J.L.N. now begins to play outside the neighborhood and they are gaining new fans.

April 1996: J.L.N release a self-financed mini-CD recorded in the same studio as always. The CD was printed in 500 copies and 200 of them are sent out to promote the band in Magazines, radio shows and record companies almost all over the world. The CD got some airtime both in Sweden and in countries as Romania, Argentina and Canada. But it didn't reach the bands expectations. The quality of the production and the songs were not what they wanted it to be. The band progressed and so did their music, and now the sound become heavier.

Early 1997: People from the music network-project Humla Production spotted the band on the local music club and a cooperation begins to record and release a split-CD with the band De Tveksamma. A few month of song writing and updating elder material takes place and in Mars/April 1997, J.L.N enter the darkness of Kläppa Studio to record seven new tracks to the split-CD, this time the songs have once again change a little bit. The network project ends up in August-97 when the CD is released and it is sent away to some magazines and radio stations around the country and out in the world. The same year does the band appear with their song "Crescent Moon" on the compilation-CD The Hälsinge Rock, released by Studiofrämjandet.

January 1998: After having the split-CD out for about half a year without the response they all expected, the band begins to write new songs and stray away from the mainstream style they performed on the CD. The same month Julie Laughs Nomore get the opportunity to be the opening act for HammerFall at Snakepit in Gävle. The show is a success for the band, and inspired by that they enter the studio in the end of February to record a new demo.. This time the Danish label Serious Entertainment shows its interest in the band and offers them a deal witch is signed later that spring. The debut album is recorded down in Aabenraa studios, with the labelboss Jacob Hansen as producer, in the break of September/October 1998.

July 1999: Babbaen split from the band after the gig at RajtanTajtan festival, And for a short while a friend of the band, Stefan Johansson, handles the four string. In October Thomas Olsson, take the place as the Bassplayer and It seams like the crew is settled again.

April 2000: The band is working with new songs for the next release when they get the news that Serious Entertainment decides to call it the quits, and the band have to start to look for a new record deal.

September 2000: The band signs a new deal with the german label Vile music.

December 2000: The band enters the Black Lounge studio in Avesta, Sweden for 14 days to record the new album "From the mist of the ruins" with Jonas Kjellgren as engineer.

June 2001: The album "From the mist of the ruins" is released, and recieves amazing reviews
