About Julie Penner

I play violin with rock/indie/experimental bands. I also sing and play the trumpet. In the last few years I've toured mainly with Do Make Say Think and Broken Social Scene.

The songs here are by Ohad Benchetrit's project Years, Charles Spearin's Happiness Project, Lullabye Arkestra, and Ghoststory. The new DMST album is called "Other Truths" and this fall I toured Europe with DoMakes, The Happiness Project & Years. We did 26 shows in 26 days and it was insane (but fun). Then we did a short tour of Northeastern USA, plus Montreal. The next tour will be in February along the West Coast, then we fly off to Japan!

I also keep busy as the music producer for CBC Radio's Vinyl Cafe with Stuart McLean. And I've been working on writing and recording my own stuff...will post some of that when I'm ready.

Mark	Nov 12 2007 12:06 AM I normally don't do this, but I just wanted to comment on how mind-blowing the show was last Friday in Omaha. I haven't seen a concert that amazing in a long time. I know I speak for everyone in the room when I say please, please come back again in the future. Hopefully now that Broken Social Scene and Do Make Say Think have recently played in our fly-over state for the first time, everyone has found a reason to make stops on the next tours. We're not so bad, right? Anyway, really it was an awesome show. Thanks.
