About me: In February I lost the love of my life after six years of marriage. While the feeling of lonliness is still strong I am comforted by my Army family and my animals. During this time I have learned that I am a strong person. Honestly I do not know how I made it this far without having a breakdown, but I don't think that it's quite hit me yet. I stay busy by working a lot and reading I am in the Army as a Human Resources Specialist currently stationed at Ft. Bragg. I am also gearing up for my third (and prolly not last) deployment to Iraq.
In September I began a journey to convert to Catholoicism. I was confirmed and took my first communion this Easter. While I originally decided to convert because of my husband's religious background I have found that it really comforts me. I believe that the reason why it took me so long to convert was because God wanted me to have the opportunity to rely on Him during my time of grief. I am still the same Julie that most of you know and love and I'm not out to preach to anyone, but it has changed my life.
Who I'd like to meet: I feel really blessed that I have been able to reconnect with friends that I had lost contact with in the past.
I just saw some "tagged" photos of you, but you can't comment on them cuz they're on someone elses profile, lol! (but can look at them in your albums) It's all very strange.... So how are you? Can't seem to reach you by phone lately. I hope your Turkey day was alright. We went to mom's. Good food, and I washed lot's of dishes. Getting some DVDs and CDs together for you. Hope to get them mailed soon. (Two are about the 10th Mtn Div.) I suppose I'm going to have to hunt you down on FB, eh? Screw Tom. Come by and see your friends now and then. Hugs!
Hey, Julie! I've been going between "busy as hell" and "feeling like crap", lol. When I don't feel bad, I am busy playing "catch up"! I've been following you on FB, but I haven't been online that much. (You know I HATE that!!) I've been thinking about you a lot. Hate that you are so freaking far away from home. That is such a good photo of you and Rob. (your wedding) Please call me ANY TIME you want to talk, about anything you want to chat about! I'll even call you back so it won't cost you anything!! Now how can you resist an offer like that?! The babies are starting to talk!! So cute! I need to take some vids so you can see them. You know I'm a proud grandma, lol! Lelania's been sick but went to Dr. yesterday. Hope she gets better soon. I need to send you a snail mail letter. I got a cheap Asheville souvineer for you, lol! I got kitty fixed and declawed. I was worried that she would be different after getting fixed but nope, shes still the same crazy kitty hahaha. Shes black but when you look at here in the light she has dark stripes and the vet said that she had some tabby cat in her. aaww. shes such a good kitty.
I'm so used to seeing you on FB, I don't think about checking here! I don't think I'm going to make it to Butte, this year.... Just been too much going on... If it doesn't stop raining, we're going to have to build an ark. I helped my neib wrangle one of those 1,000 lb "rolls" of hay into the big feeder today in the pouring rain. I don't think she could have done it alone. I can't believe how this month has flown by! Seems like it was just Labor day, now it's almost Christmas, lol! I'm sure it will be here before we know it.
